By including a camera onboard this mobile will compromise the quality of other functions, and by nature this phone is designed primarily for business use, thus you will expect the functionaries of this phone tend to be business-applications oriented. The memory/space/cost saved for including a camera also mean more time spent on finalising and prefecting the main functions, like the sound quality and touchscreen display.
Its time they come out with a W series phone without camera, need it when I got drafted into compulsory conscription. :)

AWESOME !!! This more likely to be a new revolution for biz-phone similar to Nok E60. Although w/out camera, the packages not letting go other good stuffs. Great vision you have here S.E !

in due time sony will create another phone with a camera after selling this one... i plan to wait for that one ^^

i have been wating for a phone like this
1. its a se
2.its walkman
3.its 4g memory
4.its touch screen
5.its not much bigger then a w810i
6. dont matter about camera jst use my w810i
i work for the biggest mobile phone company in the u.k.+ewvery month i check our buyers guide+its been pushed back!!!!!!
i have been waiting for this phone every sience i saw it
what is se doing with it?????
at least im not waitnig for the se p990i the most pushed back phone eva????

The use of a mobile phone w/ built-in camera is prohibited in some countries.
i think maybe that's why SE didn't equip this phone with digital camera.

as for you mr. MG something....just a question and not more than sarcasm but how can you enjoy something you don't even have yet? oh well...(too many words..too little does it mean...)and if you really have P990 yourself, why change to a lower category like W950? hmmmmm..that't strange...

ok why r u ppl make such a big fuzz over a phone... i mean do u ppl really have to complain every single phone that every company made? i am not trying to start an arguement here but just wanna share what i think about this phone, anywayz here is my point of view about this phone. ( and i am trying not to compare this phone to other phones or other devices )
for me as a normal consumer, i'd say this is a really well made phone. first off we all know the the w series are for music. the 4gb memory in this phone is surely a perfect amount. becuz the battery probably run out by the time i have only listened to half of my list ( and i am pretty i would be talking on the phone somewhere in between ).
also, the design of this phone is really great as well. itz slim and simple. it could be fit in my pocket without making a big lump on my jeans/pants. also now they have added touch screen and the jog dail allow us to browse the phone faster and easier. ( i am pretty sure about that cuz i have sony CLIE )
and last but not least, to all those ppl who are complaining about the lack of a camera on this phone. i'd say there are many other camera phones with music player out in the market, y dont u ppl take a look first? and also if u insist in choosing a SE phone. then i'd recommend u the k series ( try all the all new k800i itz a really nice phone as well ) becuz it has both camera and music player in it and the qualities are decent. and now if u still want a PDA camera phone, then u should try the p series ( P990 is also a nice phone ).

I think this phone was created just for music , games and software applications that's why it has that big memory and symbian ... it's kind'a Palm Top ...
