Smart move. People always conclude that non cam phone are all low end phone. This phone changes the concepts and is really an open target for people whom works in a 'ban all cam phone and external mem slot' office. Guess what? 80% of my office colleuges are waiting for this baby to be born.

thanks for your comment. But I mean from tehnical side. If you can choose for example both of them until 4 GB. Which one you choose like W950 (without external memory) or like M600.

one thing need to keep in mind, has expansion slot doesn't necessarily better than the one that doesn't have. take a look at SE M600i, it does support expansion slot, but... only up to 1Gb???

I have the W800 now and the sound is great, I never ever use the camera on it! So the W950 will be great for me, ditch the camera and give me more space for music :)
It's all about what you use your phone for!

possible reason why w950 has no camera.
1. branding, because now there is the cybershot brand in mobile phones
2. target market, there is market wherein people for some reason doest need a camera in their cellphones
whatever the reason is, if your not satisfied with w950, it's simply because you're not the target market for this phone...

This phone is perfect for the music lovers out there. I just picked up a sony digital camera that is far better then any camera on any phone anywhere. Phones aren't meant to have camera's on them. Hats off to Sony. Can't wait to get my W950i.

Now the question from tehnical side;
about the memory, which one is better, internal memory 4GB like in this phone or N91 or little bit internal memory but plus memory card up to 4GB? And why is the reason?

Actually I think that the fact that SE made a phone without a camera is really cool. You have to be pretty strong in your position tu pull off something like that and that's why this phone is amazing. In fact i really hold it in may hands today and got to play eith it a bit. the screen is great, the sound is awesome, the keypad is really good and overall it looks amazing, it's pretty slim.

i tought that SE W950i is no good after all . How could a W series has no camera and no MC Slot . i'd better buy a new k800i than w950i . just a +phone speaker is not a plus score after all . SE what's going on .

I do want to use W950i for my next phone. I hope the price is not too high and I hope the battery life is also excellent like I heard in W800i or K750i. Classic model, elegant, nice colour, nice LCD, large memory and rich of features.

I think we'd have better luck explaining to 4 year olds why there's no camera since anal-retentive people continually seem to post exhasperated expressions of disgust at the lack of camera.
Honestly I don't care. I can't wait to get this phone and all of you who chose NOT to get it - I'll have my digital camera handy instead to catch you all drooling at my latest toy!

I think Sony ericsson r&d people left their brain at home. Multimedia phone without camera. Same thing with their M600.. big big disappointment.

Be wise man,this phone is not yet be released.How can you say that this phone is garbage without try to use it?Or minimally you read/hear first from people that buy and use it.
If you don't like the model and feature,that's no problem.This phone is not for you.But it's better if you give a wise comentar.

how the hell are you gonna make a phone with so many features and 4gb memory and it has no camera???? this phone is garbage..i would not buy it.....it needs a camera...so sony ericsson plz put one on it
