The phone will be sold at the beginning of end September. But it will probably be October because the W850 comes out in September and I don't think that two big phones will hit the market at the same time.
The price will be between 600-700 Euro!
PS: I love so much this phone since I have seen it the 14th February. And of course I'm spending since this day. I have a W800i, the first Walkman phone, and I'm happy with this phone but my next phone will be a smartphone, namely the W950!!!

Can anyone konw the price, it seems the phone outlook in thin as 15mm and no need to use memory card. If you have the Memory stick duo what to use in new phone of SE, you will be loss because all new SE phone use M2 except w850

This phone is intended exclusively to music lovers, 3G is mainly to fast music download (gracenote) and comes with smartphone properties, this means download music software to UiQ OS and Office readers/editors. This type of memory (4Gb Flash memory) ensure great battery life time and mobile-review´s review conclude that this model has great sound quality, better than other walkman models (except W850).
For the people who want a camera phone go with nokia bricks or other camera phones.
W900 is my next phone!!

Walkman + 3G + no camera? Could it be true?
I guess people at SE felt sorry about the (probably tiny group of) guys that feel deep frustration not beeing able to find a decent phone w/o a stupid camera.
So yes, I'll be getting this as soon as it's out.

for people who's telling that this phone has no camera, then this phone is not for you...
same goes for people saying that k800 has no walkman features...

First off like someone once said, SE is starting to divide their phones quite a bit. What I mean is they are releasing a phone for every type of phone user there is.
For music you have this the w950 w/ 4 gigs of memory to store music.
For a good camera you have the k800 coming soon with 3 megapixs which is said even here on gsmarena to rival greater then the n90.
And for business users you have the m600 which is basically a stripped down w950 but with a keyboard and memory slot. What you have to realize is that sometimes your greatest rivals can be yourself. If SE was to put a high quality camera on each phone they would basically pit themselves against each other. SE wants to be able to release a phone for each type of user there is today. Maybe if some of you whiners complaigning about cameras actually learned something from college you would know at least basic grade level marketing..

I have read all opinions so far and all of them
are written from a child. Stupid Nokia-LOVERS go home.+ With 3G you can view television even if you haven't a camera and if you want a good camera go for CANON!!!
W950 will be my next phone. It's the best designed phone. I have a question. Anyone know

This is not a mobile phone. This is an Ipod. 4 Gig capacity with no additional slot and no camera ?? so.. ? this is an Ipod plus you may make a phone call just in case you need to call your gf

FINALLY i'm hearing the right opinions about cameras on mobile phones, which is a stupidity, and the right answer to the inexistent camera on a 3G phone... i'm glad to hear that at last....

hey if you think that cameras shouldnot be put in mobile phones, why do sony ercisson put the 3.2 mpx in k790.give them opinion to take cameras out of phone,we donnot want new technologies...

this is the best phone on the market by far, a very big step forward in phone design who wants a camera with a phone like this, if so buy an external one.

Teh camera has nothing to do with 3G.
besides, if you want good camera, you don't need a phone, get nikon or canon

Why is everyone so disappointed when a phone doesn’t come with a camera? Not everyone wishes to have a sub standard camera adding weight and size to their mobile! I’d rather have the reduced size myself. I’m also interested to know why a number of people think 3G means camera?? You can use the higher bandwidth for applications other than video calling. The W950 looks just the ticket and I look forward to my present contract ending so I can get my hands on one.

cameras have lost the appeal long time aho imho.
And in not time have they become a Necessary gadget.
Get a mini digicam and get along! at least u'll have all features that a camera really needs rather than sticking a lens to a phone.
I'm def. getting this phone the day its out. It appeals to me sooo much
