if you check a few posts below, someone has posted an update from the UIQ guys saying that it's probably not gonna happen. No UIQ phone has ever been updated to a newer version so far, and it's not likely to happen...

Oh wait, i didn't answer you question completely...
If you're not able to hide the files with the default File Manager, use the "X-Plore".
After the Firmware Update i'm not able to hide the files!

Guys, how can I hide pictures or video clips in the phone?????? my girlfriend is very annoying she keeps checking my phone all the time I need to hide my other girls pictures lol....Professor Nerman ??? Anyone ??? Please I need help save my life please lol

Last week, i connected my phone to WLAN. It works great. I don't know now it doesn't work anymore. I try to connect to different network. Still get stuck when connecting. My phone gets stuck when connecting. Any help is appreciated. I just bought it why it is like that?

You can get CorePlayer and other UIQ applications from here - uiqmobile[dot]com .
I love my w960i. It works as fast as ever even with 7.5/8 GB full. Love the walkman! Great sound with and without the earphones. Just wish that a back button/dial or something was available next to the jog dial.

Hi Colin,
Any question regarding phone upgrades and updates should be directed to the phone manufacturer (Sony Ericsson in your case).
However, you should know that until now, no UIQ-based phone has ever been upgraded to a newer UIQ version by any of the UIQ licensees, and I don't think this will change in a near future.
Firmware (of a same Symbian OS/UIQ version) updates happens regularly, but no OS version upgrade; and this is not specific to UIQ .

Just letting you know, as of now the coreplayer supports youtube. I beleive it's full youtube not mobile version, but I might be wrong.

When I said that, it was meant for the k750, but in a way it can go for w960, as the price of it did come down quite a bit. I would say k750 is one of the best phones ever made by sony ericsson, and also after just watching the latest episode of Doctor Who, noticed that k750 was used by Martha Jones character. Off to the k750 section to post that. Can't say anything about the n95, as I don't own it, other then the battery life in it is not that great, and that comes from a person that I know, that has the n95. Also he says that it's a powerful phone, and that the speed and functions of the phone is also great. I my self say it's a great phone, except if the design of it was better, thinner, better battery life, I would have been probably using it right now. Shouldn't have said that since this is a section for w960 and not n95, but if you need more info on the n95 or the w960, search for reviews on either of the phones on google.com.

I think they might have gotten the first batch of w960s that were bad. I have used my w960 for a few months and so far I didn't have one single problem. Although it could be faster software wise. I think that's where this phone fails, they should have worked more on the software and made it much faster then it is now. I think sony ericsson is going to fail in the smartphone business if they do not get it together and fix their software. I think software where sony ericsson failed with this phone, it could have been a much better phone.
