There's no applications on the phone that do that but if you go to main menu/multimedia/more applications you can download Advanced Device Locks for UIQ...

this phone does not support HSDPA
it supports regulat 3G (HSDPA is 3.5G) which gives speeds of up to 350 KBPS which is pretty damn good. if you use opera mini it makes the imges smaller and the 350 KBPS will be scorching fast!

EDGE is from 2.5G which gives 200 odd kbps speed in the "GSM" (not 3G) environment.
so, if u are using GSM sim u can have at most a speed of 50 kbps.
but, when we use 3G network ( if available to u ), u can have speeds starting from 1Mbps.
so, if u don't have a service provider giving 3G (with HSDPA) don't buy this phone.

I actually don't have the MXE-100 flash accessory, I was supposed to get it with my k750 but for some reason didn't, wasn't really going to use it so didn't really care on why I didn't get it, since I did get a good price on the phone. The led lights on the w960 do a decent job, fo me at least.

To mint,
I would go for w960, not only because I have it, but because I want to have a touch screen, and also the walkman player in this phone is top notch when it comes to playing music, and if you have allot of music it makes it quite easy to browse through them. Also this phone looks better then the n82. The battery usage for this,w960, phone is quite good, compared to a n82. I can get almost 3 days, with about 3 hours of wifi usage, listening to music for 1 hour, and browsing the phone, making calls and rest for about 4 hours, but if you are not going to use the wifi, or as much wifi, then you will be able to get more out of it, when I have used wifi for about an hour total, I would get 4 days. But on the other hand n82 is a bit faster phone, has faster cpu, has more features, but the features it has I don't really care or would use, you would have to use this w960 phone a while to understand and appreciate it.

I think that might be the schools problem not the w960, because it also depends on how fast the router or whatever they are using for the wifi, can assign an IP to a device and give it access rights. I had come across slow routers, that I had connected with the w960 and it took the w960 some time to connect. With my router it takes about 5 seconds to connect, while on some routers it has taken up to a minute.

edge is like 2.75g i think.
it reaches speeds of about 250kbs so it isnt quite 3g.
if this phone has 3g this isnt a great loss as edge coverage is poor in the uk anyway, but in the usa its far wider.
of course i dno where u come from...

Hi.
Im having problems getting a connection for gprs and 3G...iv downloaded the setting from my network.
I can only connect when i use my home network to connect but in other places i cant use gprs.
please help.

Most retailers offer a 14 day money back guarantee so if it doesn't work you should be able to get it refunded. I have to admit though that this is not the case with all retailers. Might be worth checking out before hand...

It should work. When I bought my HBH-DS970 stereo bluetooth headset it wasn't listed as compatible but it still works. If in doubt, call Sony Ericsson themselves, they're usually pretty helpful whenever I call them. It should work though...

Yo Nerman, hope you check this forum again, i know you said ur off but if you actually do read this.....
You said you have K750 and W960 and the MXE-100 flash accessory, im planning on buying a W960 and maybe the flash, does the flash work with W960??? Its not on the compatible accessories on the SE site but i just have some wishfull thinking. Thanks:D
