I heard that it has a convertion tool or somethin' but you must have internet to install it, it needs online free registration and i don't have...

    To Tsepz N81
Yup man it is unlocked (USIM free) but i bought it on contract because it was in half price! The contract lasts 1 year.
I just wanted to know if i must have the providers USIM in my W960i for 1 year and if they are able to lock my phone if i put a USIM from another provider.
I want to put the contract USIM in my ancient SIEMENS phone... and buy a new USIM from WIND in order to have fast, very cheap and unlimited internet access.

If your W960 is unlocked to any network eg. Unbranded then it should take any sim you put in it,the data contract is or should be not phone specific.

            I have a question guys.

I got da W960i on contract (provider COSMOTE) and i want to have unlimited data plan like i have in my W810i which the provider is WIND for only 3.5Euros/month. But the provider of my W960i doesn't have data plans for only 3.5euros per month but for 17,5euros and over!
Can i put the current W960i USIM to another phone and put in it a WIND USIM and enable the data plan? Is there any problem with the contract?

There is also a mobile version of the YouTube where 3G phones can stream videos, but i don't remember the web adress.

Check also this great site with your phone web browzer. It has exactly the same YouTube videos and you can download them! You can download the whole video or some parts of it! Its your choise :]

Yes man the W960i can be used as portable storage unit (USB flash memory) without installing the CD Suite! It works like a big 8GB flash memory! But if you want to synchronize your W960i and PC contacts, email, calendar etc... then you must install the PC Suite.

                          To all people

I made a mistake about the supported video bitrate of the W960i. The video files i converted might have problem or somethin and the software i used to make the conversions (Nero Recode) is not reliable! I'm not 100% sure about the videos i used, but my Nero Recode has definately probIems!!
I put the video "MTV CRIBS - XZIBIT" in my W960i without any conversion and it played good but not excellent with its default settings : mpeg4 2334kbps, 352x240, 25.00fps, mpeg4aac with unknown sound bitrate, 48000Hz, Stereo (114.460Mb)!! The FPS was not always steady, but it was not too bad though... Then i converted it (using the Nero Recode) at these settings: mp4 1700kbps, 320x240, 128kbps aac and it played great in my W960i BUT the phone freezed when i closed the video and i had to remove the battery!! Also when i converted (Nero Recode) the video clip "Soldier" by destiny's child and used the settings : mp4 1500kbps, 320x240 and 128 or 119kbps aac it was very laggy in my W960i! I think that the only logical explanation is that my Nero Recode doesn't convert the same always. It is like the software doesn't apply the settings you give but it convert with different settings than yours every time!
I used today the Xilisoft Video Converter 3.1.47 (Unregistered) to test some video formats and bitrates in my W960i and i put the video clip "Ayo Technology" in my W960i and it played excellent with these settings: 1500Kbps, mp4, 320x240, 16:9, 29.97fps, mpeg4aac 128kbps, 44100Hz, Stereo. And when i put the same video clip without any conversion (default settings) the W960i couldn't even recognise the file! The default settings of the video clip are: 3062kbps, mpeg1video, 384x208, 29,97fps, mp2 320kbps, 44100Hz, Stereo.

The beauty of Symbian is that your W960 will be able to stream from YouTube for PC soon using an app called emTube, currently emTube is for Symbian s60v3 phones (Nokia and Samsung) but im sure it will be released on UIQ3 phones (SE and Motorola) this coming year. It allows me to stream and download the video if i want it,realy great app.

I have not tried yet to stream with my W960i cause i don't have data plan yet and the charges are crazy...

But my W960i couldn't stream directly from YouTube (PC version) and i guess that i have to copy the video URL and paste it in to the "Videos-Open Link" menu.

I create a foder "Games" and put all the java and sis game files in it. Then i connect my W960i to my PC and put the folder "Games" in to the phones "Other" folder.
Then you disconnect the phone from the PC, and from the menu you go to the File Manager, select the media memory and then search for the "Other" folder.

                                      To Sone

Da W850i is 3G and with its high speed you can stream but i don't know what video types at what bitrates it support. You must have also the right GPRS and WAP settings so you can access the internet via your phone. (You must call your provider and ask them to activate your GPRS and WAP)
