my first impression of this phone was it was going to be stylish and compact size. however in reality, this phone looks dull and unimpressive for premium price.

who wants loud and quality sound in ear by headset, go 4 k850i with hpm-70 origenal headset. its beaten ipod. k850i has megabass feature also

ok, everyone. i bought this last week. don't have much to say except YAY! :)
buuut, as someone else said, the sound volume in the headphones is kinda low. i think it's limited by software or something. don't blame it on the headphones, i used the ones from my old w810i and compared to that one the sound it's a whisper. maybe in a future software release they will take care of the problem (giving that they are aware of it...).
anyway, the w960i is a kickass handset. sweeet.

dave no one wanted to knw what you will go for...and this is a music phone not a video camcorder which will die out of battery before completeing the video...this is far better than the N95 8gb in terms of music elements which is what all matters....ok ? if you dont like this phone you should keep your mouth shut...
even low end sony ericsson phones like w300i have 3.5mm external jack where as nokia phones which are as high end as the N80 dont even have one so you are stuck to the sucky nokia headphone.Get it ?

i get what you mean with Apple it feels like the music is Live, with the Sony it feels like its properly being played in a Disco or Nightclub ! different companys different effects

I'm using HPM-82 headset. I need Something hurt my ears. I need somthing let me live in the music. Use apple and you will know.
I use BASS option, nothing happen !, I dont talk about the Quality, I talk about the VOLUME, It is low than apple !
Can You tell me what headset(or earphones)do u use ?

the Sound Quality of SONY is the same as Apple its just the Type of Earphones that SONY supply with Walkman Phones the Walkman earphones are *In-Ear* with ALOT of BASS !
were as the Apple Earphones are just the normal earphones with alot of TREBLE ...the difference is the BASS in the SONY earphones the sound Quality is still the same as Apple its just the Walkman earphones have BASS Apple ones have Treble

I Love the phone, but i don't like the headset sound. it is nothing if you compare the headset sound of w960 with iPhone or iPod headset sound. You can ask anyone has iPod about the sound.

To Bubbles and all the people waiting for the W960i
Ask the stuff in the store if u can preorder the phone! I did so! I live in Greece and the W960i is not available yet in any store... but i ordered it from the store's central warehouse!! I went to the store and asked them about the W960i and they told me that it is not released yet! But when i told them that i want to order it, then they mentioned that it's available only in the central warehouse!
I mean, don't ask only if the phone is in the store, but ask also if u can order it!
I'll get mine tomorrow!!!

10 days ago, i received an email from Sony Ericsson that W960i is here and i went to my fave cp store to check it out but it's not yet available. i keep coming to that store even to the SE store but it's not yet available. it's really very disappointing. it has been 10 days already! how long must i wait?
oh my, to those who already have the phone, i would really be very happy and appreciative to read your posts of your hands-on experience of this phone.

I bought this Phone a week ago and I'm loving it. No comments on it whatsoever.
The handrecognition works even better than I anticipated and the video option is bloody fantastic:)

another question, i'm not sure if all windows mobile phones can because i haven't googled it up, but can this phone load flash applications such as youtube video players? asap answers would be nice as i'm really considering shellin out 500+ for this phone

does this phone have instantaneous flash like the k810 and those cybershot phones? where it flashes at the shutter? or have a red-eye prevention mechanism where it flashes several times before taking the picture or have a red/orange light emitted to condition the targets' eyes

My w960 for sale, i used it for 4 hours and returned it to the box. i just use the battery and the phone.
