Hope u all know that this phone is not an option for you Americans since its not GSM 850mhz and UMTS 1900 capable (for cingular/AT&T users).
even GSM 1900 providers like T-Mobile, roams more than 60% to a 850 network. (dont trust me check out their site to see howmuch u will be affected)
And with the lack of EDGE/HSDPA/UMTS 1900 means that there is no higher speed than GPRS in the US no matter what provider u r using!!
in other words:
SE is saying to American's GO TO .... we dont need you!
any other reason? so please explain.

Rite, my fone is broke and there is no way i can wait till december. this fone was announced in june and i was waiting to buy it, now my fone has broke i cant have no fone for 2 months so sony ericson shud either hurry up an bring it out asap. altho i myt jus get a nokia n81 instead cos it luk beter n e ways an is out very soon!!!!!

is the screen really 2.6" dnt think so,
expensive phone,gud sound quality but low volume,5 stars new walkman player,would be better if it played .avi media files

osiris71, the W960i will probably be the next N95; has a world of functions but can only give an average performance on the functions.

Who the hell invented that the release of this phone in the Philippines will be on dec 'o7 ? no ! it's not true because i've tried to ask the official site of sony ericsson regarding the specific date of the release of this phone here in Philippines . They replied to my mail :

This was annouced last June 2007 and still not available. N95 8gb was announced August 2007 and already available worldwide. Even I'm a big SE fan, I'm going to buy N95 8gb and I'm not going to wait early next year or so for this one. Come on SE, everytime, everytime, everytime that you have a new model, it takes ages before it's available on the market, really frustrating to all SE fanatics like me.

The w960 looks just like my w810...only uglier/more plasticty and beefed up features...i prefer LG's Viewty more...SE should make a phone that's got a HUGE touchscreen. im sure if SE did that, not that many ppl would buy the Viewty haha. but that's just my opinion

What is Sony Ericsson doing? The W910i which is a lower-end phone, has HSDPA, while the W960i doesn't! What's more, the W960i has no lens cover! I'm sure that the picture that comes out of it will be bad, like all W series phones from Sony Ericsson. Why not Sony Ericsson give us an all-in-one phone?

Seeing that there will is now a camera with this phone, will it have any negative impact on the fone, maybe performance? Would the W950i be a better option (even though it's older)?

Hi, plz tell me, is it a fact or an assumption that this phone will be released with HSDPA some time in the future? A previous post said it's not yet on the market but some ppl are commenting here like they've used it for months already. When is it coming out? Thx.
