sony ericsson could at least explain to us whats happenning.this will possibly help us to wait a little bit longer. its like the u.s army searching for ben laden. a lot of news but still hiding.when it comes out it will be already old.

hey guys. just please stop sucking sonyericsson to release the w960.i think its all that they want. sorry but ive already spent my money i saved to buy this phone .its been too long waiting.ive bought a motorola v3i dolce gabbana and a pair of oakley razrwire bluetooth glasses. i agree its not the same thing but you know patience has a limit

WOW I M SO SPEECHLESS AFTER i looked at this phone!!
this phone ROCKS!!! i thought i was going to get motorola RIKR Z10 but this W960 has wifi!!!! if ur bored at school or class u can always surf the internet!!! and large amount of memory.hmm screen is big, battery also lasts longer. COOL PHONE!!

I quite agree. If this is not out soon, the P990i mistake will be repeated once more. Apple iPhone is now out here in Dubai. SE better follow up soon to prevent Apple from selling like hotcakes. iPhone is only a fad whereas this baby is a worthwhile beauty.

yes, you can. It's compatible with a few of SE's bluetooth headsets (check their official site for a list). Original indications suggest that the phone is actually gonna come with a bluetooth headset, but this may have changed by now...

You think if 1200 mAh battery is replaced by 900.. will it work perfect? i mean it shuld support right?

but from the what i've read and the video on the w960 site, it comes with bluetooth headphones. so its alright not to have the headphone jack.

This phone (SonyE W960) is a very good phone but with Sony Ericsson high end phones there are standards, for example, QUAD band network, Bluetooth and Infared technologies but this phone is TRI-band and has only bluetooth, now thats okay because infared is hardly used. Now having a whopping 8GBs of internal memory would allow alot of things to be done, the camera, audio,Wi-Fi etc, now why would they only put a "Li-Po 900 mAh" battery, that is the same battery as my SonyE W600 - which roughly gives me about 90mins talk and occasional use of my bluetooth and infared and about 20mins of playing audio, now to fully utilise this phone i would have put a 1200 mAh battery or better.

if everybody keeps on contacting the phone companies and sayin about december that its comin out, then explain about mobilebee electronics in the UK having it out in 3 days and lowpricecell.com havin it soon as well? somebody answer that so that da final release date answer can finally be fulfilled geez

Thinking on how this phone looks and it`s specs it is worth the wait.
On the price I think that it will replace the w950 in it`s price range, or so I hope :p .

Yesterday I've sent an email to SonyEricsson UK, and today I've received the answer regarding the launching month of the W960i:
Dear Mr ########,
Thank you for contacting the Sony Ericsson Call Centre.
With regards to your enquiry, Sony Ericssin W960i will be released in December 2007 in the UK, unfortunately we do not have an exact release date for this particular product in other European countries. We would advise that you check our website for up-to-date information. Alternatively you could contact your network or retailer for their release date.
Should you require any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us again for further help and support.
That's it boys, we have to wait!!!!!

Well, we have a confirmed UK release date. I work for Vodafone and I was checking our forthcoming products listings. It'll be available from the 9th of December. And damn, I can't wait...!!!
