Introductory price of W960 in Asia would be around $600US, almost the same introductory price of P1i. When it comes out, it would really be blast against N95 as many users of N95 complain about battery life which is one of the most important functionality of the phone. N81 has been confirmed that it is real and somewhat an upgrade of N91, but don't brag that N82 is better than this or any other phone, as most of the website only have concept sketches of N82. Besides, this is a forum of SonyEricsson phones, specifically W960. Peace!

Someone was asking about the price... well, some people here were saying it;s gonna be 600-700$, there is a link somewhere in the older posts to a shop where we can pre-order the phone for about 600$ (?)... Another thing, some photos supposedly taken using w960 http://justamp.blogspot.com/2007/08/sony-ericsson-w960-cam-pics.html
And about GPS in nokia n82... if the chipset is going to be sirfstar III, i think there are going to be no problems with it... I don;t remember exactly but i think n95 has got sirfstar II (i may be wrong here, so if someone knows better, correct me :) )

I wanna get this phone but i may wait till the N82...that one looks sexy with the white...and its almost same specifications as N95 but smaller...and the 5MP camera has a xenon flash...which n95 doesnt have!! we'll see but I like the touchscreen on this!

Iphone and n95 eat your heart out cause this is the phone to have, not only has it got brilliant faetures but it is stylish and an s.e which is all ya need neway, s.e are the best, no question.

the design of this fone is terrible. the buttons are to compact and the fone size looks very large. full of functions and full of other good things. just a tad big and ugly

Hello hey,
personally i totally get their reason for touch screen + keypad. Touch screen would be useful for getting to menus, media and for browsing, but I couldn't see myself typing on one. No tactile feedback on many touch screens, and I also tend to feel my way around the keys instead of look at them...

I really wish this phone had the 850 band!!!! My network in the states uses 850/1900. Why, oh why doesn't SE make their coolest phones quad band?

well, the gps in n95 is not so perfect at all, my friend has one and he says that he has no use of it. Well if i should make a choise between n95 and w960 i would take se, couse i really appreciate then my phone is "online" for more than a day, and that is what n95 is not capable with.

but the truth is that 5mpx sounds more appealing than 3.2mpx. We all know that highly popular N95 has a 5mpix camera, nevertheless the pictures aren't that great. But if we take GPS and 5mpx compared to 3.2mpx and a touchscreen, well, it is going to be a hard choice. So the sales are really going to depend on the price and availability.

WLAN b and g are on the same frequency i.e. b can work on g but with the limited speed of b which is 11mbps which is good for internet. I just want to make sure that they will work, anyone knows for certain if it will work?

That's may not be always true. Megapixels (MP) only tells you how large you can print your pictures without pixelation. But it does not necessarily mean a 5MP camera of one phone is better than a 3.2MP of another.

i bet N82 wont be as good as W960i
SE always win the Rival's when it comes to Specifications...
W960 might have a 3.2MP cam but it will Perform better then Nokia's 5MP

To Sony Ericsson Company people! Don't wait too long before releasing this mobile phone. I think October is far too late. You should do it before nokia oficially presents N82 cause this is going to be your biggest rival. It has a 5Mpix camera and built-in GPS, but doesn't have a touchscreen. Release the w960 ASAP!!! otherwise people may wanna wait for n82.
