Hmmm...I just called the Sony Ericsson Cust. Service after seeing from their website that this W960 is already available. They said that yes, it "is" now available in the US.

Poor you that can't see beyond n95. It's obvious that you are nokia fan boy and my commentary hurt you...
n95 is a horrible block phone and will be displaced in just short time by better phones like this, although the N95 can have "everything" that you say, that is irrelevant. Sony Ericsson makes different phones whith characteristics different for each user type, nokia always is the same: Same interface, same revolting designs and now with poor battery life. n95 is an extremely ugly heavy brick, is not practical and in addition whit poor battery life, n95 will be able to have many functions (w960 also has them and better) but is a rotten potatoe. I HAVE SAID. END.

poor guy...just compare both phones, w960 dont have HSDPA soport!!, use symbian UIQ 3.0 ¬¬ dont have IRDA, it cant suport HSCSD, only UMTS,and guess what no edge support....so this phone is far far away of be the best phone of the year the n95 is better...just compare it kid

nokia suck what?? this phone looks awesome but please stop saying that fan stuff anyway we dont know if nokia have a new phone in proyect...this phone its not better than the n95 but is a great phone

I want it to be released on O2 in the UK by early October, so it will be just be about come down from max price early Jan 08, just in time for my upgrade.

Judging by what I know so far:
Best phone ever!
Yeah, it doesn't have THE best camera or THE best touchscreen etc., but the high quality combination of all the features is exactly what I'm looking for. It's like the W960 was made especially for me.
The design is a little more discrete than most other Walkman phones but I like it.
I can't wait to get my hands on it!

nice very nice indeed. I am very impressed with sony ericsson and i think they just keep getting better, there designs are a little square and rectangle but Sony Ericsson would have to be right up there. SENSATIONAL

msg can be saved on comp via "my phone explorer" . gsmarena has posted the review of iPhone and this phone is far ahead than iPhone. kindly use gps accessory to use gps. hge 100.

thats funny.... tha guy is looking for a super fone.... se grow up???? wat fone has those specs??? ur definitely a nokia fan.... just coz n95 has gps and video quality camera doesnt mean that SE has to make a super fone.....nokia sucks anyway... since they started making fones wit cameras (7250) theyre quality went down... they shud just keep on making 5110.... hehehehe

I think I have a winner here.
was looking at the HTC touch but they have underspeced that, people report the P1's key pad as torture, pity I really like it, but the phone is 95% the same, so this with its regular keypad, Wi-Fi and 8G of memory wins, roll on 11th Jan 08 :-)
