No,no,no!!. I completely reject the backwards, regressive, prehistoric comments of mfdh and mfx2. Of course a high-end phone should be judged on its features. There are phones to suit all types. If you don't need certain features you buy simpler phones. The choice is yours. If you need many features you buy high-end phones. The SE W960 is certainly high-end. As I said in an earlier post, at the high-end level the phone becomes the multimedia device for communication for which making calls is only ONE function. Internet, radio, phone calls, camcording, photos, e-mail, sms, WLAN, GPS are all forms of communication: their relative use depends on the individual. Mfdh says he uses his phone mainly for calls. That's up to him. I know many who use their "phone" (multimedia device) mainly for receiving e-mails and sending texts. It is ridiculous for mfdh to tell us what we should be using our multimedia devices ("phones") for. Oh yes and WLAN is great because it gives fast internet connectivity and its FREE. You don't have to pay massive data charges. For mfdh to deride WLAN (which is in truth a brilliant invention) because it saps the battery is pure Neanderthal caveman thinking. The amount of battery that's used depends on how long you use the feature. If you know your battery well then you realise that certain features will have time limits but that does not mean they shouldn't be used; and it doesn't mean that manufacturers are wrong in putting these features into phones. Like I said earlier, if you don't need many features buy a less sophisticated phone. Mfdh should realize that it is impractical to lug a camcorder, dedicated camera, laptop and radio everywhere you go. Phones developed into multimedia devices because we take them everywhere. The plethora of functions may not be as good as the dedicated device BUT we are only asking for reasonable standards. Thus a friend of features will expect VGA(30fps) camcording. Why? Because it produces watchable videos of reasonable quality - even on the big screen. Nokia's N93 proved this. A friend of features would expect at least a 3.2MP camera. Why? Because it produces photos of print quality. The SE K800i proved this. I had both phones and neither had problems with battery life because I respected the limitations of the devices. Anyway it is not as if most people live in the forest. If mfdh is Tarzan please tell us. Most people have access to electricity on a daily basis. There are also subsidiary ways of charging eg car charger, solar charger etc. SE with this new multimedia device that combines features of K,P and W series are moving forward. I have my reservations about it that I have detailed in earlier posts but there is certainly the strong feeling that SE are moving towards making the quintessential all-in-one multimedia device. I hope that SE will strive on within this new important category regardless of regressives like mfdh. Forward ever; backward NEVER!!

Most high-end phones like Samsung's P520, LG's KE850 Prada or even Nokia's "Crown Jewel" the N95 are limited only to viewing documents... Not the W960!!! Way to go SE!!!

To the one who was asking where the navigation keys are:

The W960 does not have navigation keys 'cause it's touch-screen, you navigate with the screen... I think. :))

Haha, hope I helped you. :)

This fone is simply gorgeous! What a user interface. I love the walkman touch player. It is simply amazing. And plus the fact that SE makes very usable, durable, feature rich phone in a stylish package. This phone is a must and will replace my k810 and ipod.

tsk tsk. Poor display. 3.2 cam only. Touchscreen for nothing. Small screen size small to touch with the stylus or of your fingertips. Not that good OS. And a box type kinda phone.

when approximately will this phone release? and what will its price be? sony ericsson has finally hit the nail on the head with this one... i wonder why they continue with the k700i-k750i joystick in some of their latest cybershot phones... i owned a k750i for 2 years, and the first thing that went was the joystick... i dropped it in a bucket of water... the screen blanked out.. i took it out, dried it and 2 days later it worked like nothing had happened :D
