Even Nokia 5700 with audio chip tends to be almost PAR at 3250(no chip) in sound quality based on their music test on mobile-review.com. that means N91 still remains the best in sound quality, but this W960 even beats all it's other features i.e. camera, display, music player, and user experience so dont say N91 is better because we all can witness that W960 is ahead :)

Now why would you want to have a 16m color screen, only to use maybe 1/4 of all those colors/shades? 16m screen = more battery usage = battery life shortened = you people complaining about a low battery life... so choose.. less battery + 16m screen or more battery + 256k screen? Would you even be able to tell the difference of color in #ffffff and #fffffe? Try even #fffffa, you would have to concentrate to pick up the color difference... and keep in mind, no one looks their cell phone from only a few inches away...

Can everyone please stop harping on about screen clarity and 16 milllion colours. The fact is that the pixel resolution will determine the overall clarity of the screen with the colour displayed playing a more secondary role, in terms of colour saturation.

i dont really like nokia,... the technology isnt that good... they only produce new models but not that good quality in terms of software and everything... boooooooo nokia, i like SE much better... they really good in their handphone products!

Don't just scream 16 Million colours, just compare the screen clarity of the W950 to the N95 and see(I've done it). Now don't put that N91 in between, it just matches the W960 in storage size and absolutely nothing else. Nokia & SE are great brands, bu people should'nt just support Nokia and say that Nokia is the best in everything. I use a nokia N73 but still appreciate the K850, G600 and other phones because they are good. So what I have to say is that don't just shout Nokia(it is a good brand) without comparing it nicely with other phones.

Very Nice phone.Is its Display clarity equal to Nokia N95(16 million)?
The same Display SE P1 has a average one,not good. so i think W960 Display will be a averageone.

Just wondering if this phone can transfer files from one computer to another without the need for specific software, i.e will it connect to a pc as a removable drive via usb?
If not then it is a great shame as the file sharing opportunities are good with regards to size of memory but maybe limited due to sony software. This is where having a card slot is fool-proof.
Anyway, i will probably get this phone when it comes out as i have got nothing other than ericsson and SE, whenever i've tried others like nokias and samsungs, it's either batt life or a cheap platic feel that turns me back to SE, I use a k800 with 2 GB card a.t.m and i love it!

hey hsdpa is something like 3g but new generation k850 has is w960 no .this is the coolest phone i can wait to get it by the way who knows when it take on market??and edge and hscsd are old like infraderd ,they aren't an interest ;). i think w960 is above n95

this is the best phone ever by SE. It is real challenge to nokia as it equal valued to nokia N91,N73,N95 but just lacks edge and hscsd and gps otherwise it will kick asss of all other mobile phones

uhh u probably wont need a 3.5mm jack because it comes with a a2dp headset

To archboy, I'd say W960, it's got pretty much all the major features of the P1, plus walkman music player and you should get a bluetooth headset in the box

BATTERY 900mAh? even w850 better with 950 mAh..OMG this phone will be like n95..poor battery life

1st: it does have A2DP you entered this post without reading the specs sheet :(
2: It can accomodate 3.5mm headphones with it's HPM-90 remote built in headset. i would like to have a long 3.5mm connector with microphone and music remote control than having a 3.5mm built in a jack with the absence of remote :)
3: W960 is less bulky than the bricky, small screened N91 8Gb with relatively poorer music player

no A2DP? 3.5mm jack? stainless steel casing? I don't think it can top Nokia 91 8GB
