Good combination, i think sony should aim to release this model ASAP globally. Has got lot of features, i dont think one has to worry about the card slot. it contains 4 gig memory.built-in memory makes easier to access the contents than to read from a card

Yeap, there definitely has to be a stylus included/involved in this as the specs say that there is handwriting recognition software bundled with the phone.
A definite YES! for 3G, but no EDGE? That's kind of weird when you compare this phone to the other 3G-capable SE phones slated for release.
Also, I used to own a Sony MD player and I loved it to pieces. Part of the reason I loved it was because of its ability to NOT consume battery life for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I really hope this phone will hold up under the pressures of also being a Walkman. It'll be freaking awesome if this phone had an awesome battery life in relation to its capacity as a Walkman device.

Hey there, what do you ppl reckon web browsing performance will be like. I use an S60 at the moment, which crashes on large pages cos of "memory full". Will the 8GB on this act as the shared memory/cache for the Opera browser??

who needs a card slot when u have 8 gigs? wanna transfer stuff? do it via wi-fi or bluetooth...or, just plug the godamn cable...

People need card slot not only for the capacity. Yes, 8 GB is very spacious. But it's not really flexible. There's a lot of people who use just the memory card to transfer data and then put it on the phone. It's faster and easier.
But for me, no card slot is not a big problem. Just don't forget to do backup often.

man, u guys, there's really no point of s.e making a memory slot for this phone. GOSH it's 8GB! that's already a lot of memory y bother having a slot for that? the only problem is y cant the w600 have a memory card slot? seriously 8GB is crazy no 1 will use all of it.

why doesnt it have Edge??it only has 3G which is fast but not common(in africa) and gprs which is too slow!!what happened to edge?it's there in the w810i!!why not the w960i??

why can't people read corectly. its 8GB of memory not 8mb. why do u need a card? isn't that enough ? more than sufficient for a mobile.

i always believed that SE phones had more pulchirtude than those of Nokias.But i prefered N80 ,N73ME because of their specs. Now i'm all geared to buy W960.But i've to know its approximate price.Because if it is more than $600 than i'll rather prefer iPhone.

why should there be a memory card slot? 8GB is really alot of space already. besides, it you really want space for songs might as well get a proper mp3 player or ipod
