i think its mixture of P,K & W Series by SE.
K series-2 led flash,autofocus n 3.2mp camera.
W series-mega bass,equalizer & 8gb m/m.
P Series-touch screen tft,wlan,3g,doc/image editor.
so all u SE fans dont think...grab it asap

On further meditation it is definitely NOT a good idea to leave out the memory card. A hotswap memory case makes it easier to transfer data. Furthermore you can build up a library of memory cards that will far exceed 8GB; and if the phone is stolen you will still have your PORTABLE library of MCs with vital info. I am pleased that this phone has WLAN and is definitely worth a try. I wonder whether the camera is exactly the same as the K810 Cybershot or have they used cheaper lenses and sensors? SE have to realize that the superficial separation of Cybershot and Walkman phones is AGAINST the market. People want an all-in-one multifunctional device.

Whoever commented that the battery life is worse than N95 - Get a life! The phone's not even out yet, so how can you compare?

If you go on official veb. side SE you can see that this phone does not support sms and mms. I do not know is this mistake or what???

not for me. 8 GB is more than enough. beside that, i dont know if theres any 8GB card out there, and i wondering about the price. So, i think i prefer to chose 8GB internal memory. its more than enough...and not make me spend more money buying card.

well said.it's just a phone and a memory card is still used by many mobile phones than a hard drive.i know, i know im happy with the 8gb drive,but don't you think it would be greater if it had a card slot?
as some guy told before, having a hot swap card slot makes the phone makes it more versatile.
EVERYONE WILL LOVE IT IF IT HAD EXTRA EXPANDABLE MEMORY! : )

@teddymustopo: Let's not judge your small bad experience with the W950i as a whole. SE make awesome phones. So don't compare your W950i to this, the W960i.
And to whoever asked why there's no memory slot. It does have 8gb already, mate. How much more do you want? Lol. It is a phone, after all, not a laptop ;)

i used w950i for about 1 month, it hanged 3 x a day. i did upgrade the firmware and still hanged, and when i bring it to se counter, they downgrade the firmware, and i just know today they will discontinue the support of the firmware.
SE, u make a BAD PHONE.

I been a fan of SE from R380,K700 and now using W900. the W960 seems like it will take the world by Storm. I'm currently using a 4G slot card in my W900 I would have loved to have the same slot option on this brilliiant model.

if you compare this phone with the P1, it does have a small downside: no camera light
