lolz... at least you see the 3 circles, right? the music keys will appear right after you close the fold or while control you music. simple! and the external screen is completely disappear in idle mode. :D

a lit bit of help is needed, please. the picture here representing the phone shows when closed, there are play/pause forward and backwards buttons, i checked the other pictures some has these some don't, and also in a shop i inspected, but didn't see such keys, now the question is; are these buttons there or what? please let me. thanks

hooo inner ear hpm-77, it almost tears my ears. after listen to music long hours, my ears hurt so much !_! it bcoz of the sharp corner and it not really fit into my ears even i've tried with different size.
as my experience. only hpm-70 and hpm-75 are perfectly it my ears. even mdr-ex082 also hurts my ears. anybody got same trouble?

this phone is probably equal to the nokia n95 8gb. it has almost all the features. the external touch screen is just amazing but could also be scratched and could have very annoying finger prints. i know this because my friend has this phone in my school and has lots of scratches and fingerprints on his external screen.

Is there an option to show the clock on standby mode on the small external screen without having to press a button?

eq is good. and it would be better if we cam save the manual EQ in several custom like NOKIA, custom1 custom2 ...
i've been using w980 around 2 weeks now, hmmm sth need to b honest, the build quality is not really the high-end phone at all. the keypad part is ok, but the screen part, hoooo seriously i feel like holding a fragile device in my hands.
i hav 2 charge everyday now, just listen to few hours of music playback with headsets. i think i can't really use w980 as music player. => need to go back to my old NWZ-A816, it consumes power just like a fat girl on diet.

hmmm, talking ab de price, in my country, Cambodia, 220$US with 1 year warrenty. worry ab scratch? buy invisibleShield or Clear Protector, they are the same and they cost 25$. scratch-proof. i got 1, it's perfect.

hey Guys i am a proud owner of W980 and W300 , i would recomend w300 because of its style , finishing , and super perfomance best phone ever with long battery !

anyone know what the best headphones are that money can buy? I have W980 with HPM-77 which is awesome but is there anything better even if not Sony headphones?

i agree with "Wazza" coz i also have sony nwz-a816, and all i can say is they are 99% the same in term of audio quality. it produces clear sound!! much better than iPhone, more natural than nokia, ... but sth i dn like is video playback, hmmm just support 30fps but -> poor playback quality!! better forget ab video on w980
o! i forget mention ab the headsets, hpm-77 of W980 and MDR-EX082 of SONY WALKMAN produce almost the same sound. interesting!! LOVE IT

HOMER19, 10 Apr 2009guys stay away from this fone its not the best, fm radio do... moreguys i have this phone since it has been released it's THE BESTTTTT and am serious...it's memory and the walkamn are greatttt and it can hold alot of music and songs and has a great sound with a great stereo..it's not true who said that it's not good.
