Excellent phone but battery is too weak. It barely last 2 days of moderate use (10 sms, 1 min call, no music/game) unlike the strong battery life stated in the review.

oop!! sorry, that was wrong typing. i'd say
Base on my exp. i prefer w980 rather than ipod/iphone, clearer especially bass. ahh!! just set the EQ correctly! WOW i have to say, the sound quality is NOT really worse than SONY Walkan, + stereo widening works just brillian => produce like surround sound. however, i hate there is only one custom EQ setting unlike NOKIA, still poor SE!

lots of apps on w980 will report wen broadband back on..cam takes ok snaps its vid better than k850

w980 has better sound quality through headset, cam is only 3.2mp, no autofcs no flash..

To help performance dont use animated wallpapers and go to media center and scroll to settings and select update media when you have put any new vids or mp3s on w980..i have shozu on this and yahoo 3 go and the app your after for msm is fring but do not know if its java app to suit w980 but will find out

Picked this phone up at carphone warehouse for £129.95 on the plus side I work for carphone warehouse and got a 30% discount!!! How cool is that!!!!

I have a few QUESTION
I cannot see my status led operate at all,it the led by charging socket
It would be good if an app existed to use flashing disco lights in top clear part of w980 to use as torch
I have got mini opera and yahoo go onboard and found in location services app google maps etc,,
In organizer is where file manager is which i found last night plus another applications app which hyas accuweather convertermusicmate 5 standby world clock walkmate and 3d world clock..
To sum up it brilliant and does everything i want my fone to do its a smartfone substitute for me and basic app switching too.

hi, m frm Cambodia. i just bought w980 yesterday :D it cost me U$222 with 1 year warranty. hmmm, in term of audio quality, yeah! it's the best, best just among SE itself. hahaha... is that the best u can do on ur phone, SE?? i got a sony walkman NWZ-A816, woooo sound quality is far far better, clearer, more natural, ... than w980. SensMe is messed up, sad become happy. slow become fast. dn really no how it analyses the music. more soon

7:36, 05 Apr 2009hi, im planning to buy this.. is it ok?? is it slow or w... moreI got this friday and compared to 8gb in my k770 this much more capable as its designed with the 8gb from start..Music is great with more controlled bass and its a fresh departure from what ive been using for yrs,,i love clsamshells.Up to now its fine and video is not bad compared to p990i which was lastse i had with 30fps qvga resolution..Just playing about with it at moment getting used to it,,i need to get opera mini and such on board and see if yahoo 3 works..
