This phone is really nice but with one (for me) HUGE drawback.
I don't use Windows (I use Ubuntu Linux) and while the phone is supposed to implement USB mass storage standard, it just crashes when I plug it in via USB or try to "browse" the storage over bluetooth. I briefly catch a glimpse of the filesystem on the phone, before the phone crashes.
There is no sd memory card or similar which means that the only way for me to transfer songs to the phone is to bluetooth them over 1 by 1. Very tedious.
This is the only SE phone that I have had this problem with so it might get fixed.. or I might try to return it to the shop.

the phone is good but 1BIG problem you cant backup your contacts on the phone, the function of backup is just not thier Y is dat... and W960 has da function on it... n its a 8gb internal memory...

hi everyone please i need help urgently,i just go my se w980...but everytime a messsage comes it flips up on the screen and everyone holding my phone can see it..i was wondering if there is ever a way i can do the settings so that i dnt see the message till i open the phone messeage part....please help me...
and also id like to ask if the top screen can show pictures not jus the walkman function...

does anyone know where i can get actual photos of the phone in violin red? i wanna see it "live" before buying it. i'm very particular abt the shade of red.
from the SE website, its shown as more of a dull, brownish red, which is not so appealing.
anyone can help me?

i have brought the samsung g600 and regreetted it, i tink they are rubbish, for xmas i really wnt the soni erricosn w980, but i dont no whether to gt it, as its quite expensive, is it worth it, truthfuly?
