i never liked the designs of the new phones by s.e. but i like this one a lot this is the only phone that took my breath away after the s.e. w960 was released ...

i kinda like the outerlook but was disappointed that its actually a "flip" phone..could be classier if its a slide phone..yup...keypads do kind of look retro..somehow does not go well enuff with the outlook..

this awasome phone that i ever see that sonyericsson made have all the feutures that amaze me to the specific factor and i very proud to buy this kind of phone that have radio antena to receive a signal from the radio station and i love the shake control of this phone when you tried to shake its automatically move the song and the clamshell style of this phone its perfect to fashion the teens to offortunate the reality of life the color of the was great it atract the eyes of the people to buy this kind of a wonderfull phone.

Outer design : awesome,perfect
Internal design : well..it's classy nd rather cool but could be improved..those round keys r really perfect for typing (which i do alooooot) but they dont look tht good...
really glad they even improved the sound quality in the headphones wich was really awesome in previous W phones , and it comes with better headphones as well..so,i think this could be the best sounding device in the whole market,even better than any ipod..
however ,SE's W flagship remains W960 not 980 cause of the bigger touchscreen , UIQ software and autofocus/dual LED flash ...

What a marvelous phone i love it presently i have 2 SE S500i a K 790 a samsung U 600 and a black berry pearl 8120 but i am waiting 4 the tech 2 arrive so i can give it all up 4 that

Typical! I finally get the W960 and they announce this. Although, tbh, i prefer the W960 for the camera. I gotta admit though, the orange light-up bit at the bottom looks cool as f***!
There seems to be some debate about the round keypad buttons. It seems to fit the rest of the phone's design approach. It seems to me that SE are going for a sorta 1980's vision of the future; kinda retro style. I personally don't like it but I think this is prob'ly SE's response to criticism that their handsets all look the same. At least now they're exploring different designs...

Fall in love with this one, but seeing the rounded button inside is an immediate turn off. But I'd prefer a clamshell K or G phone.
SE had so little clamshell phones outside Japan, and most of their offers (the Z series) are mediocre in specs compared to their other series such as K, or G. What's their problem anyway ? Afraid that the clamshell will chip their candybar model's sales ?

this phone is the best my brother got one you wouldn't imagine the features this phone has its super cool the design is awesome the sound quality is d best camera can work on a bit i love the nubs and the whole shake feature im so jealous of my brother while im stuck with a w580 my phone doesn't even compare to this phone the clamshell feature is cool it's like a spuer revised w300 . oh and of course SONY ERICSSON IS D BEST.
