I have this phone for 1 month
It's an incredible phone with many options and I love it but it lacks 2 things:
-Higher resolution
-Widgets
That's why we feel the OS is sometimes obsolete

dext, 14 Sep 2009rokr zn50 design is beter than w995 the display too zn5... moreyeah well its got a lame 200 hours stand by time and 4 hours talktime thats almost half of what the w995 could do and by my opinion the rokr zn50 is one of the most ugliest phones i've seen and w995 has one of the most attractive designs. not to mention w995 did win an award for the best music phone of 2009. only better thing in the zn50 is the touchscreen and the tv tuner but overall its still a good phone from motorola.

Better ones are sold thru eBay (most are made in Asia)!
There are some that has an opening for lens and flash and cost ~ $5-10 USD incl shipping!
Sounds like you bought a lousy one that covered the flash hence the distortion!

Has anyone else put a crystal case on this phone and tried taking photos?? I find that when I put a crystal case on my W995, the pictures turn out foggy and blurred with the flash on. When I take the case off and take a photo with flash, it's fine.
The crystal case doesn't affect the photo when the flash is off though.

anonym, 14 Sep 2009I have this phone but i was frustrated coz its screen can d... moretry changing the housing of your phone but the bad thing about this is if you remove the housing the sticker under the battery wont be sealed anymore so this could void your warranty. unfortunenatly there are no housings for w995 on ebay yet just rubber cases and screen protectors.

I have this phone but i was frustrated coz its screen can do have scratches, i thought it is resistant to scratches..Are there any means to remove the scatches aside from replacement..Any suggestion please..Its really annoying coz its very conspicuous.

cool i didnt know you could deselect a network since 3g is totally unavailable here there certainly is no need to constantly be scanning for it
