JaCoB...,Kuwait, 09 May 2009well ur right about vga is better than the wqvga and i wont... moregenerally speaking, i am not a "samsung" fan. i never used to like samsung until they started releasing some proper smartphones, and yes, the omnia HD is superb and its video recording is superior to anything currently available.

symbian s*cks big time!
even the themes have ''expiration date'' and certificate,enabling bluetooth earpiece need 7 touchs(5800) while with SE phones 2 buttons only,camera of 5800 is as crappy as the k700...flash games are so slow too!
Anyway about the W995 the RELEASE DATE is still for 14th May in Expansys website,3 days to go but I doubt it will the 14th,they will as usual delay it

Only get N86 if you're looking for a piece of cheap plastic junk. Get the W995 if you want something with top features, great materials and looks nice.
I admit the video recording isn't great, but I would rather sacrifice to WQVGA with a good looking phone.

... moreFirst of all Mr.Anonymous when I was refering to the messaging and calling applications i meant the ones you find on the A200 OS(almost all se phones) and NOT ON THE IDOU which is the first and only se phone ever based on symbian s60 platform. Moreover, I don't really think that the n86 is a NEW/MODERN/UP TO DATE DEVICE. Just think the differences of the 2006-2007 N95 and the 2009 n86. The only significant difference is the camera really. Doesn't the n86 look like a n81,n85 and n96??? Where's the new design? Anw..What the hell is a digital compass used for and didn't u notice that is a JAVA application (intallable on a se)? YES the w995 does have a kickstand (useless anw).You think that the screen on the n86 really is up to date? Indeed, amoled is new technology but qvga technology isn't. In addition Doesn't a 2006 n95 record VGA video? Finally do you really think that the dual slide design is practical?Actually it sucks and the w995 doesn't really need it because it has sensme technology and shake control which is 100 times better.
Don't get me wrong, I'm currently using a n95. Stop acting like a fanboy influencing others with lies. Go and buy whatever you need both are great phones

derrick, 10 May 2009hi, I am derrick from singapore and I going to buy a handph... morealthough i am big fan of this phone but i think u should go for ummmm....C905..i know its would sound rude to some...but it has the best camera around........with decent music.......i am saying because i compared it with samsung innov8 and surprizeingly C905 took better pics......in all light conditions....and if u go for w995...the music would take over the camera....hav a nice day!!!

from what i heard from other people, the sony ericssion w995 was releasing sometime mid-year or around july in australia, not 100% sure but that could be true..
meanwhile seeing so many people i know are obsessed with this phone, looks like i'm getting the 2nd lg viewty instead for some unique difference :)

this looks like a great phone!
i'm currently looking at buying a new phone. I want to chose between this and the INNOV8.This is 1st preference so far.
I need to know how long till this will be released. And roughly how much will it go for AU.

are you mental... morewell ur right about vga is better than the wqvga and i wont say anything else on that but thtan nokia has the best recording ?! there is only 2 things that make me think you wrote that 1st i guess u have problem with ur eyes :P or u just want to make nokia the best and make SE looks bad ... have u seen the omnia recording ? its HD does nokia has it and i think that u r smart enough and know that HD is way better than VGA well i guess that make you happy as a samsung fan lol .....
anyway im not replying to ppl cuz i want to make them look bad or anything im just sharing my opinion :)
