I have had this W995 for over a year now. I am very satisfied with it's performance overall. I have had several SE phones over the years but I must say this has to be one of my favourites! The music on this mobile is exceptional when played through portable speakers or listened via your headphones. It takes upto a massive 16GB memory card. To give you an example of how much data, photo's and music etc, I currently have an 8GB card and have 1307 music tracks, 71 short video clips, 11 games, and 737 photo's stored on it and it's still not quite full. I am going to buy a 16GB card though so that I can download more music and photo's later. It has an 8MP camera but I've found that most SE Walkman phones lack in this department and picture quality isn't as good as others BUT it's not bad either! I wanted a good all rounder and to me this is. The screen size is decent and texting is easy. I'd happily recommend this phone. I bought mine sim free when it first came out so it was expensive but I'm sure you can get a great deal on this phone at the moment. Treat yourself for Christmas!

sorry to say this,
but that 'abu' maybe right.
i had the w810i phone with very good 2MP camera.
now im having w995 with 8MP camara.
but im not much happy with the camara.
because not much different in the picture quality camparing to my w810i 2MP camara.
and this 8MP camara is small than k850i 5MP camara.
and this 8MP camara is far back from k850i 5MP camara.
this 8MP camara size is same as w810i camara size. small.
it is just like im having my old w810i 2MP camara back....

-this may be a personal experiance or my eyes may have a problem or my feelings may have problems.
so plese ignore above info if you willing to buy w995-

cy24, 09 Dec 2010i want it to take pictures...For pictures, I think Nokia and Samsung are better. Sony Ericsson camera lacks quality nowadays. This is a music phone and in that arena, this is the king.

hi guys, jus want to know how the camera is ? does it take stable pic (not blurred) ? and the keypads ..are they comfortable enough to text message ? and guys its been more than three times that i have asked the same question but nobody replied to my query...pls those who own it give me advice on my questions...and one more thing...most of the keys are of silver color...will they change color with time ? bcz most of the cellphones havng silver colored keys start losing their color bcz of the sweat/water we have on our hands...pls pls pls help me with my queries ..i got to buy this fone :) pls help... thnx

abu, 13 Dec 2010very very very bad camera.....8.1MP = 2MP..hey abu,it's a phone with a camera function not a camera with a phone function,if u want a great quality pictures use a real camera instead like the DSLR etc..for me the w995 takes quite a good pictures(but at night,it's quite poor but i use a real camera if i wnt to take pictures at night not a phone camera) if you set the camera settings depending on the situation.. :)

In that my reply, 'google' means 'search in the internt'.
('google a2uploader' means 'type a2uploader in the google serch and serch')
here, i did it my self, this address might help. It says how to install a2uploader.

installing it is a riskey thing if you dont know how to install it correctly.
I didnt install it becouse im affraid. So im not having flash menus either.
For more info, google 'a2uploader'.
not only flash menus, u can also install new aplications after you installed the a2uploader.
For example: lighteffect. (ur phone side buttons will glow in orange when incoming a call or sms).
If u install a2uploader, google applications for a2uploader.
Serch w995 lighteffect at youtube to see glowing orange buttons when incoming a call.
