If the item is refurbished it means it has new parts, replaced and it still can be original, as many parts are still has the same manufacture, most of refurbishment it's outside the phone, changing new fascia and battery giving a new look. But inside it's still the same Sony Ericsson mobile phone.
Sony Ericsson W995 its' grea mobile phone, nice camera lenses, the phone produce great sound with two speakers, has a good memory.
Would recommend to anyone looking for reliable mobile phone. Though it's 6 year old but it's much better by quality than some touch screen phones at present days

And I forgot to say one more thing; for all of you who are still using this awesome phone, if you have problems with his stock internet browser - install opera mini on W995. Go to m.opera.com with W995 and try it. It spends less MB during the month. I use only 250MB for a month. Now, which nowday smartphone is 'satisfied' with that amount of MB? :)

I got it as a gift from my uncle. I must say, W995 is almost better that all the smartphones out there. No need for constant app updating, it is compact and the battery is excellent. Excellent mobile phone in any way! Old is the best! :)

I'm using w995 since 5 years ago, yes 5 entire years. We were watching all the idiots becaming smartphone obsessed and not obsessed with their real life.
My W995 survived falls, water and it's still fully functional.
Awesome 8mp camera (that with a camdriver the camera becames almost the same as C905's (Mine doesn't say camera, it says cyber-shot since the camdriver).
Superb loud sound that beats the crup out of almost all current smartphones (especially through headset ear speakers). I compared it's sound with sony z3, and W995 has deeper and louder sound through the ear speakers, from their normal speakers W995 is only just a tic louder.
I can surf the web. That means facebook, tweeter, youtube etc. W995 supports all these. I can download so many games from the internet (and now 100% free, if you know where to look for them), download very useful applications like water level and unit converter etc.
And the best thing, it fits in my pocket XD.. let's see your smartphone do that!
Plus I watch movies and pull a lot of attention in buses, people wonder how on earth a phone that old can be a movie player. Others complain about it being so loud (can't blame them here).
So yeah, if you want a full feature mobile phone that will stay with you for years, go for it.
It's small, it's freaking VERY durable and a great snapper (you can even let it on flat areas to take a group photo, no.. smartphones can't do that because of their ridiculous slim width). Oh and.. it can fit in your pocket, many smartphones can't do that.
I have mine since 5 years ago and still love it.
