Wow.. I'm using SE mobile phone all this while and this model is the best i ever had...I love w995.

did a service update on my w995a and now the world globe stays on in the top left corner. is this right. it is in color not grey. wanted to know if this is using more of my battery. any help would be great. my service is att

you don't deserve my reply, but i will explain to others, you can see my first post, i said that you all know the great advantages in this phone , so i will tell the disadvantages, because any one want to purchase the phone, he want to know the disadvantages, and when i was thinking to purchase the phone i was search for someone tell me the disadvantages, therefore iam now trying to help other people, i don't care if they purchase SE or Nokia or LG or any thing.
other thing, maybe you find something is silly and not important, but someone else maybe he not purchase the phone because of this thing.
i hope you to be polite when you put your reply next time.

as i told you before, i just purchase this phone... moreDude, come on. Are you tryin' to find something wrong with the phone or what? I just don't get what you want. Is that really such a HUUUUGE disadvantage, that you can't listen to music while you're on the phone with someone? How old are you, 3? Jeez! And about you're CD. You don't really need it. You don't even need to go on their website. You didn't get a CD because of SE new green minimalistic politics, saving the planet and all that crap. All you really need is a Windows OS on your pc and the USB cable, plug the phone into your computer and it will automatically ask you to download PC Suite and MediaGo. That's all there is to it.

about music quality, for sure W995 is better than N82, but Nokia N82 can run more formats.
about camera quality i found N82 & W995 almost same, i know W995 is 8.1 MP, & N82 is 5 MP, but there is no big difference.
the design of W995 is much better than N82, and you know that.
but try to search for information about network coverage, because i suffer about this problem with W995, maybe the network i use is weak, but maybe the problem from the phone, i will try other networks and i will tell you.
any question don't hesitate.

heyyyaaa iwas using nokia n95 but igot w995 last two months before i use it very carefully and though love it but i dun know wat happened to it !! igot no network coverage and whenevaa iwant to charge it it show me make sure u r usin sony r batter ., could any1 help me in dis ??

as i told you before, i just purchase this phone since week only, about making the phone silent during ring, you right and i wrote that under your post.
but there is no CD in Package, maybe in your country there is CD, but in my package i found note that there is no CD, and you can download all softwares from website directly.
about pictures files, yes you right, i discover it just now.
but about record during the call, maybe you didn't get my point, i don't mean record the call , i meant open audio record during the call, when i go to media during the call, there is a note the tell : you can't open audio during the call , in nokia i can do that , if you know how to make this possible plz tell me.

Abed, 07 May 2010I bought W995 a week ago , its great phone, the advantages ... morehey abed...i'd like to tell you that pls don't comnt abt something when you don't knw abt that...of course you can record during call..you have to try it...of course there is a cd in the w995 package...may be you haven't found it yet..lol..when someone calling you jst press the volume button and the ringtone will silent...jst go to pictures folder and make new folder..then move your pictures from 100MSDF to that folder...that's all...

there is nothing to protect the screen, about camera lens, the Kickstand can protect it , but not like camera covers in other phones.

in order to put the phone on silent while ringing press in the # button
same apply if the phone is not ringing and u want to put the phone in silent press and hold # buttons ;)

Juz wondering, does the screen has any scratch resistances? hw easily the cam get scratch? i nvr use phones that doesn have any cam protection

I bought W995 a week ago , its great phone, the advantages I guess you all know, so i will talk about disadvantages for me :
1) my old phone Nokia N82 can running more video formats, this disadv. i was know before i purchase the phone, so iam not surprise.
2) During a call can not run the audio recordings, therefore, goodbye to the tricks that were in Nokia, this disav. surprise me.
3) there is no CD in W995 Package
4) when i download Pics to the phone, i could not put it in files, iam used to creat files in Nokia, like friends, family .... etc and put pics in this files, in this phone i could not do this, if any one know how to make this, or its not possible in this phone.
5) when some one call me, I can not put the ring silent as i was doing with Nokia, i have only to answer or cancel, there is no option to make it silent, and this disadv. surprise me.
6) there is many other disadv. but i think you all know, therefore i will not repeat it, like there is no lens covers.... etc
when i discover more disadvantages i will put it here, if any one have question about this phone you can ask here for males or send me email to abdsaleh83@gmail.com for females, and please if any one have answer to point 4 please tell me.
