I had Active for half a year. I love the hardware, not so much the software. After experience with WebOS, android is a pain, but what can you do :-( Main issues with Active are: 1- default dialup screen dial numbers only - not letters (so why are there there?) 2 - phone contains huge amount of pre-installed apps which you can't get rid of neither hide, 3 - the 3.5mm heaphones jack is SONY only and will not accept other than SONY headphones with mic headset. (any headphones alone works fine).This is shame tactic from Sony and good reason to boycott the phone. I must say the durability of the phone is great, I use it for kitesurfing, however it's not bulletproof as the screen does scratch.

Its a grand phone. Doesn't make too much noise abut what all it can perform. Understated, functional and is a hit with people who really understand its full potential.
It may look like a clown in midst of its siblings but it can surely outlive most of them.I also have an XPERIA Ray which is good but doesn't serve the purpose of my adventure based lifestyle. Its been performing flawlessly for quite a bit of time now and just yesterday I also upgraded its software to the new 4.1 version.
Effortless seamlessness ! Way to go Sony.

i'v got problem with the battery charge. is there any way to improve battery or all of you have this problem? my phone dies in 5 or 6 hours:( any idea pls?

I have installed an anti-theft app for this phone. I have tested it and it works. I have lost a precious phone before that's why I am hesitant over the years to buy very expensive ones.
I have to enable the app as device administrator to be able to lock the phone remotely if ever it's stolen. THen I found out that a thief (with android knowledge) can just disable the app as device admin and deactivate it. Is there a way that it will require a password before it can be deactivated? That way, I would be assured that a thief can never use the device.

pokemon, 24 Apr 2012 i heard that sony ericcson phone gets overheated after usi... moreevery android phone with faster processor and good ram gets heat up after moderate browsing and gaming....i am active gets heat after moderate internet use but never freezes......my xperia active has never frozed or hanged since i have bought the phone...using it for last five months now....

No camera in front and most of the games that have a good graphics are not compatible.... I'll wait for the update of this phone hope to give more satisfaction thax ESCom
