battery backup is poor ,problem in software like- brightnes &sms ringtone , phone heat up in 9 -10 minutes look in great ,touch is owsome interface is exellent wire of charger is very short

xperia arc user here, i dont care if other phone's spec is better than xperia, i am contented with what the xperia arc can offer. The best thing about the arc is the design! Sexiest, slickest, everything about it is really gorgeous!

Ok, thanks for your help. I'll try to do those things and will see what's going on. By the way, phone is amazing, pictures are the best quality I've ever seen, phone is fast etc. but I still have to learn a lot about this excelent phone.
PS: Do you know any good games for it?

first of all, download these apps, you'll need them:
Astro file manager: for managing your data
Rockplayer: for playing avi videos or other formats that hardware is not capable of decoding
Just Picture: for watching pics in full resolution and slidshow live wallpaper
TapeMachine: High quality sound recorder
Advanced task killer: More RAM, More Battery
don't fill all your home screens with widgets, just use those you need.
after that, i dont think there is any need for battery saver Apps, i tried them but i think they just eat your RAM and effect on the performance of the device. you just need to fully charge it every week to keep the battery healthy and at its full potential, my Arc gives me 18 hours for medium usage and average brightness of 50%, dunno maybe if you lower the brightness and screen timeout, it gives you 24 hours of medium usage.
anyway, thats all you need to do at the beginning i guess... this is as far as i know, hope it helps :)

AnonD-550, 01 Aug 2011well, i was thinking to get the arc, because the amazing ex... morefirst of all,i'm not telling u to go & grab a arc right now or a sgs2.actually,i've never told anybody to buy this or that,but when its a question about honest opinion,well,i'm always there.
Now,if u r stucked btw gs2 & arc,then u better know ur priorities,ur demands,ur passions.if u r about the speed & spec sheet,then u should go with the gs2,undoubtedly.this is the real ''beast'' around & with the 1.2 ghz dual core processor with mali 400 gpu & 1 gb of ram,its almost invincible.on the other side,arc has only 1 gb single core processor with snapdragon 205 gpu & only 512 mb of ram.sounds poor,hah?well,here comes the analogy,according to the specs,gs2 is way ahead of arc,but in real life scenerio,we cant see that much!in fact,we can do almost everything with this ''poor'' processor & ram as smoothly as they r doing with the dual cores.arc is almost as smooth as the dual core beasts.take a look around,everybody is comparing the arc with other brands dual cores.why?cause,its performance is as like as the dual cores.how is that possible?here comes the quality.
Ok,now the screen.in sgs2,u got a 4.3" super amoled plus screen which is really fantastic & latest tech.& the arc got only a led backlit lcd which is called the reality display with bravia engine,& its fantastic,too.now,if u like the over saturated display of gs2,go for it.this is of course more enjoyable in the browsing mode than arc.& arc offers u the best real pics & videos.
btw,i wonder sometime,that theoritically,a samoled plus screen consumes almost 1/3 of battery than a lcd sreen.now,with so much less consumption of battery,why r gs2 users complaining about the battery life even if they got a bigger one?& may be u've heard about the yellow spot of gs2 screen & i hope that u know that samoled plus screen has a shorter life span than lcd.
About the camera,except for nokia n8,arc is the best.& yes,gs2 is good to,& u got 1080p video with this,while arc offers u only 720p.
Now,last but not least,the outlook.have u ever hold an arc & stare at it?just do it & i'm sure,u will be in love with it.& about the gs2,say,someone holding a gs2,& people around him think that he is a iphone owner!then sombody reveals that actually thats samsung,not iphone,& tease him!i really have seen this.now,what to say?iphone & sony ericsson makes u classy folk,& samsung makes u crappy too iphonish.man,gs2 got no style,& that bothers me mostly.
Now,about the future profing,i dont think that 1gh phones will be destroyed so easily.rather look at the dual cores.1 gh dual core is already done with the 1.2 gh,& a series of 1.4 & 1.5 is upcoming.so,lets see what is gonna happen.
So,there will not be a very wide range of softwere particularly for them.now,if i cant use my dual cores,whats the point of buying it?
Well,it seems that i've written a story!whatever,ur money,ur choice,ur decesion.i just tried to make an analogy,nothing more.i'll really be glad if it helps u a little bit.
Someone,i cant remeber,posted here that arc is more like a girl next door & gs2 is the lady with muscles.i appriciate him.

@Jack X10: hi pal, how you doing? imo SGS2 is so powerful, but for me ( as everyone know by now:P ) the design and UI is so important, Arc has more beautiful UI, highly customized and also customizable. the device is unbelievably fast. but i wish it had more RAM and more internal storage. camera is great, but not what i expected, i expected more frome the Exmore-R... but its convincing to me. and i never get tired of looking at this beauty. and in the end, its your choice, so go for what ever suits you better :)

well, i was thinking to get the arc, because the amazing experience with my white x10, after a year looks like new, but on the paper it really looks silly compared to sgII im still like the arc more, but and honest advise is welcome

I am realy sorry. The app's name is appXtra. Do you have that on your phone? If so, open it and choose my appXtra(I think this is the only choice you should have). Then choose HD Games install. Then another app called More HD Games should appear in your menu. Now open it and choose 3 HD games for free. Please let me know if it works...
