Everytime I came in to read comments from arc user, I saw nick with his usual samsung fanboy habit trying hard to convince others that sgs2 is the best.
I will tell you why you do not need to try.
- Even for plastic body, arc uses premium materials unlike sam.
- arc is blazing fast, even for a single core.
- arc have exmor R to shoot night scene, sgs2 does not have this tech.
- OLED display is too bright for other users.
- arc does not look like iphone, no matter what you say.
- arc looks better than sgs2.
- arc users will be proud to flash their phone anywhere with style. Nobody cares if you flash sgs2 that does not shout 'dual-core!'.
No point trying to distort the facts just by looking at spec sheets & denying goodness of other phones.

I've got arc for 4 months and am happy with the phone.. My friend has got sgs2 but guess what he has the issues of heating while playing games and watching movies for half hour. But rather sgs2 has better performance. Arc is stylish with a decent capability to perform all the tasks required for todays world of android. The difference is about 3500 to 4k indian rupees. If you want a handset for more than a year buy sgs2 as its hardware is future proof for atleast 1 year but if u a kind of guy who keeps changing mobiles with time buy se arc.. U just cant ignore se arc as it stands out of the crowd and looks classy.. Believe me sgs2 looks very cheap..
SE india provides all the accessories in the box viz hdmi cable, pouch, screen guard and superb quality earphones.. Sgs2 has pouch, screen guard but no hdmi cable and one of the worst quality earphones.. My friend eventually had to buy philips earphone for his mobile which cost him another 900 rupees..
So overall sgs2 is good but little concerns over its heating, accessories, cost.. SE arc good enough but comparitively a little lesser performance.. If u can afford sgs2 buy it but SE ARC CANNOT BE IGNORED.. If u keep both side by side u will definitely like the premium looks of the arc..

Its true that no other phone is much sexier in looks when compared to ARC but as far as specs n performance are concerned, S2 is way better than Arc.... SE phones just looks good n nothin else while samsung phones can do beyond that an xperia can do.... Even SE takes a lot f tym to roll out new software and OS updates while samsung takes a lil tym... That is why SE's sale is going down day by day whn compared to other phones.....

it's like choosing a car, you can opt for a beauty with power or just raw power. each has its own disadvantages - but both can still give you a ride & take you wherever you want to go.

Arc is by far the best single-core smartphone to-date & performance doesn't fall far behind the current dual-cores in the market.

Arc more stylysh more ergonomics more user friendly interface better sound and better foto picture and battery life it is also cost less
Sgs2 is faster but just in some operations in interface,somewhere even arc faster,but browsing with flash is faster on sgs2(you can see this on you tube in arc's face off) ,t also capture 1080p video
Displays depend on your taste,arc'colours are real and it has bigger brightness,sgs2 has over saturated colours

nick, 17 Jul 2011Hey buddy stylus cannot work wid thz phne coz its a capacit... moreever heard of capacitive stylus?normal stylus does not work with the capacitive touch screen,cause this type of screen needs electronic pulse to register,which is generated by our body.thats why it needs the capacitive stylus.IMO,any metalic piece that can pass the pulse through the metal,should do the job of a capacitive stylus

You need to update by using sony ericsson update service which is available on sony ericsson website.. I have updated my phone by seus only.. It cant be updated by pc companion.. Btw there is no much difference on update performance wise..

Stylus z given for cheap resistive display coz they r not much sensitive.... I think u had never used capacitive display... Jst use it once then u will say that fingertouch z much better than stylus touch....

Please!i have used both android and iphone. so if you want all around freedom go for arc, as u can click pictures and videos and transfer to your friends etc using bluetooth. get many apps etc. lots of cool stuff. but if you want brand name, want to resell your phone for good amount, want higher quality apps then go for iphone. i personally would get iphone only if they make one with a bigger screen. 3.5 inch looks too small for me especially after using SGSII and desire hd

AnonD-13960, 16 Jul 2011Can any1 comment about the battery backup of this phone >....what do you mean "back up"? if your asking about the battery life, my experience is about 2.5 days for moderate usage. can last up to 3 days or more with light usage & over a day for heavy usage.
