You have the arc and do a lot of browsing? will you please share me your experience with its wifi coz im planning to buy this phone and i read here that it has wifi problems. is it unit specific prob or every arc is affected? thanks

Hi,
I upgraded to 2.3.3. I am from India. I connected to computer using the PC Companion and it showed there is an update and so I just followed the instructions and it updated to 2.3.3. Nothing much different from 2.3.2 but some visible differences I noticed are :
1. When you press the power button on top to turn on the screen and before swiping the screen to unlock, you can see a bar almost on the center of the display showing how many unread messages you have.
2. A new icon aapears called Media Discovery that shows all the YouTube videos in your Facebook account.
3. The PlayNow icon now is named as Store. I am not really sure how it was named earlier, but I noticed it only now. The icon says PlayNow but the name of the icon is Store.
4. And I do not remember seeing the SIM Toolkit, before the update. Now it is there in the menu.
And overall I feel the phone is faster, has little bit more battery life and I really do not understand what this Facebook integration means. I've always felt that this phone was Facebook integrated even with the 2.3.2 version.
Any corrections or additions, please let me know. Thank you.

practically opined that this is the ultimate, complete and good phone than apple i4....but this defect can be cured that is by increased its price by more than apple i4 because people think that the thing is higher in price is more good...

they sort on trolling & bashing on forums intended for USER'S ONLY or for those who wants to get info from USERS and annoy people (a way of letting other's share their frustration), and pretend that they know everything but their own words shows what kind of people are they.

I don't know why people like to bash SE phones so much,almost everyday i stop by,it's been nothing but trolling and bashing,everyone has their own preferences,might as well respect other people's preferences,the world would be so dull if everyone uses the same thing, so be glad there are other brand's users to make you different with your phone (please note that i didn't mention any brands/manufacturers/makers), just wanted to voice my opinion.

Model : RDPXF100IP has a rechargeable battery......
Model : XDRDS12Ip has a clock and digital radio....
Again Sony proves/shows how desperate it is !!!

[deleted post]I'm giving a comparison between Sony Ericcson Xperia Arc and Motorola Atrix....These are ALL facts and can be checked at “gsmarena’s” specifications.... Nothing here is my opinion. All is factual.
Arc has a great 8mp camera with more options. (Exmor R sensor is a minor tech improvement, as there is no CCD lens, just a plastic lens, NO wide angle lens, No large camera sensor) Motorola Atrix only has a decent 5mp camera. (Nokia N8 is the BEST camera/video phone)
Arc has a 0.2 inch larger display. Atrix has higher screen Resolution. Both have outdated LCD screens. Although the Arc has LED Backlighting, which is better. (Nothing compares to a Super Amoled screens by Samsung)
Different Android customizations, although both are fully upgradable. Motorola is more upgradable due to faster CPU, higher ROM and more RAM
Arc talk time is 7 hours, Atrix talk time is up to 9 hours. Atrix , in theory will have longer time for internet, movies, GPS, music , general usage etc.
Arc battery is 1,500 mAh, Atrix battery is 1,930 mAh.
Arc is slimmer at 10.0mm as compared to Atrix 10.1mm..
Arc is 125 mm long. Atrix is 117.8 mm long.
Arc is is a beautiful designed phone. This is its main selling point.
Both phones are excellent plastic build quality. Both made by Foxconn in China.
Motorola Atrix has Dual-core 1GHz CPU. Arc has 1GHz single processor CPU. (Dual core is only used when needed, thus not really affecting battery life)
1080p, full HD video playback is possible with Atrix via a HDMI cable to TV. Full HD is not available in Arc.
Atrix has 1GB RAM. Arc only has 512 mb RAM.
Atrix has 16GB storage. Arc only has 320mb. (Need to buy a memory card for Arc)
Atrix has a secondary Camera. Arc has NO secondary camera.
Atrix has a finger print reader. Arc doesn’t.
Atrix has HSDPA, 14.4 Mbps. Arc only has HSDPA, 7.2 Mbp.
Motorola Atrix has several add on options such as a docking stand etc.....

SGS2 has poor build & Samsung handsets are known to break down easily after so many months whereby SE have long lasting reliability. If you're happy with your Samsung then go away with your boring statistics & leave us SE fansboys as you call us to our own taste in phones. Your also what I class as a Samsung FANBOY. Stop being so boring..........

[deleted post]sorry billy, but i already have the arc, and am very happy with it. i compared the 2 phones (sgs2 and arc) in a retail store, and liked the arc more. found the sgs2 very ugly, and the build is poor. saw sgs2 a few days back also, and still thought it was ugly. i do a lot of browsing on the arc, and am happy with the speed my phone offers - speed of the sgs2 is not a big enogh draw for me over the arc. now don't throw the AMOLED, super AMOLED and super AMOLED plus argument to me - I like the arc screen better, and if in your opinion i'm wrong so be it. did your mum marry the richest guy around or the one she liked most? the thing is, if you are convinced the sgs2 is a better phone then go buy it and be happy; why try to convince others?
