Just got my Arc...
I must say the phone feels incredibly thin and very stylish, although the screen is at 4.2" the phone feels normal compared to other models..
I like the home screen and widgets, everything seems as it should be. No lag or whatsoever...
The camera is amazing, okay it's not an N8's camera but i think it's enough for day to day use.. even at night areas it managed to get very sharp images, the led flash light is very strong if you're shooting in a close distance..
I needn't to say about the android market, there are more applications than you ever imagine, the first think i downloaded was "Angry Birds" of course :) then tried different games and applications...
The only downside is battery life, but i guess it's the same problem with all new phones.

quite disappointed, a high end phone w/o secondary camera, guys in sony e, don let us down agn.

hey guys. I just wanted to know if the xperia arc is really that huge in size? I mean, I'm a girl an I'm a teen and still deciding on buying this phone. it's hand grip size bothers me alot. your answers would be highly appreciated.

* Symbian is the only OS that have best of battery management.
* SUPER AMOLED screen consume less power than LCD especially in black background but consume more in white.
* SUPER AMOLED screen is easy to get screen burn-in than LCD. AMOLED has less lifespan than LCD.
* The more files u have in ur internal memory, the more lag u will get. Imagine u have tons of files in ur system drive eg: Windows. can ur Windows still running smooth?
* Dual core cpu is faster than single core, use common sense, two is better than one right? the bigger the cpu is, the faster u will get. like faster multi-tasking, gaming, watching full hd video, etc. GPU(Graphics processing unit) also effects the speed of the device too.
* for more info about amoled vs lcd, just google for it.
* that all i know about, hope i don't misunderstand anything ^^

Avoiding the flames around this forum, I'll repost my question again. THANKS for those who helped in giving their opinions related to the questions. so here goes
-QUESTIONS-
*there's some comparison about LCD screen and SUPER AMOLED, what is the difference of the both types of screens? is it just the colour and display ? or has it got to do with the sensitivity of the touch as well? what about the burn-in I heard of?
*I understand that downloaded apps can be saved in memory card and does not affect the internal memory, but there is some apps that requires the phone's internal memory. so does lagness of the phone affected in this factor? is there possibilities, for example showing sign of lagness with the free internal memory is low ?
regarding the battery life,
*does LCD or SUPER AMOLED screen affects the battery?
*why does android operating system are said to have low battery management ? which operating systems are at best of battery management
* what does the CPU functions as? I heard a lot about dual core and single core, what's the difference of dual core and single core? Is it for gaming purposes only or does it improves the smoothness of the phone performance and other aspects as well?

Some mobile phone has specification like 512MB RAM and 512MB ROM. What does it mean? what is the actual RAM?? 512 + 512 =1GB or its Just 512 MB RAM. What is the significance of 512 MB ROM??? Please tell...

By the way the battery charger can be put into the contact in your wall... (dont know the precize english word:P) and it cal also be charged to your computer with USB :)
And the nice thing is this phone is fully loaded in 1 hour!

I also experience the arc with a short baterry life, like the most smartphones mostly do...
You can save battery by setting the screen on less brightness... beacuse that cost the most of the battery!!!..
Don't having the GPS on all the time saves battery..
There is also a widget on the phone calls something with energy... if you instal that one you could save some battery life too!

i own an xperia X10 and would like to knw frm other owners of X10 who already have th arc whether there is improvement in perfomance, this is just 4 info as i wuld stil buy the arc 4 its design

Yes, all of your commend said it nice phone okay i agree with your idea, for my i really like this phone, but Unfortunately is this phone not have flash like Nokia C7, so when we need to take a phone Nokia C7 is better.
- Why Sony X10 and Arc, do not put flash for take a photo at night time like Nokia C7.

I'm using this phone for like a week now and I'm impressed!
The screen is amazing, its very friendly in use, great sound and fast internet!
I was using the HTC Desire before, loved it too, but this one is definitley better!
Verry Happy I've bought it!!!

Hello there, i own a ARC. Overall experience is great except the battery life. Barely last a day!! Im just an average user don't surf the web or use the email much. But i do leave my 3G on whole day (might be the reason it drain all battery). The phone serioudly drain the battery real fast even when im just leaving it on standby/idle. I finish charging the phone at night 100%, by morning 7 hrs later, the batt status was left 67% !
Any arc owner experience this too?
