Another thing, remember that google actually advises to turn of the cell phone from time to time.
Every other day you should reboot your phone

Im from Malaysian, before this i used this Xperia ARC model, for the first month i buy it have excelent Pitcure colour performance, this is because 8MP combine with SONY BRAVIA ENGINE. Realy good...... Even at night... HOWEVER, the bad things is this model very fast HOT and drain battery so fast. I dont know why but i think is because the big WIDESCREEN and the DISPLAY option.

keep data-bt-wifi off when not required (use widgets to do this),
keep phone on 2g mode when you know you are not going to use data (....widgets again),
Use only widgets which you actually use (check again which you 'actually' use),
I am sorry to mention all these if you were already knowing these things.

the latest 4.1.b.0587 update did bring about some improvements to the user-experience. Daily usage is fine, web-browsing still OK (used to be great) but, this thing is beginning to struggle badly on games. Used to be flawless on games back in 2.3 but now in ICS, alot more laggy. And somehow, on battery, mine's getting worse. before the update, this thing drains 2 full charges per day. but now, even an 8 hour sleep shrinks it from 100 to 60%. i kill apps via the running services not via 3rd party so i know, this isnt due to background running apps. and yeah, the part near the sensor has cracked, and, the chrome is wearing off though its very minimal still, after 8 months of use.

redX, 31 Aug 2012its been 24 hours, i used phone for calling of one and a ha... moreFinally, it have reached 10%. Its been 50 hours by now, I used phone for,
Calling of one and a half hour (2G) and,
Watched video at 100% brightness for 45 minutes, other than this, phone was only in stand by mode (2g) with 25% brightness and keeping all other thing off like wi-fi, bt, and data too, 50 hours passed and still 10% battery is left, so I think my ARC can easily survive heavy usage of 24 hours and can be in standby mode for than 2 days.

I updated to ics 2mnths bak ..thn this recent update that 587 restarted ma phone nd it was dead ..thn went sony service center ..they said ics is nt stable version nf that they officially update to 2.3.4 gb ...nd wen i asked ..that again if i update ..i might face the problem again ..i donno wat to do ..ics was alot user friendly thn gb as it had many new features

I have updated my Xperia ARC to ICS recently, now I wanna see battery performance, I have charged it fully today morning at 9:30, its 11:30 now and battery is showing 98% (2% loss in 2 hours), I am not at all using that phone, just in standby mode, data is off, its in 2g mode, screen brightness is at 25%.
Will post final results.
