I popped into the carphonewarehouse yesterday to have a look at this phone and although its user interface is brilliant the one thing that put me off was the plastic feel of the handset!
At the very least it should have been made of aluminium!

I like every bit of the arc but the only thing thats made me think twice is the phone memory.. 512 mb aint enough for the apps im planning to load on the phone. So i jus wanna make sure if for android 2.3, CAN ALL APPS FROM THE ANDROID MARKET BE INSTALLED DIRECTLY TO THE SD CARD??? If this is true, nothing can stop me from gettin this phone... PLZ SUMBODY REPLY...

xperia is a dam good phone in the market.sonyericsson 1st time lounch exmor sensor facility in their phone.arc is still good android phone campairing other company.

The screen it is the very important part of phone all the function phone had screen have to display and the quality of screen show the quality of function ,even nokia understand that and given AMOLED screen to there flagship phones for beter display.
Battery back up which is also importand and AMOLED safe battery, lcd and Android and fast havey processor eat battery.
so i realy dought that this realty display is as good as AMOLED display or not ?
i think not at least not by looking ;(

it got Dual-core 1GHz ARM Cortex-A9 proccessor (oh!)
it got Mali-400MP GPU, (very nice)
it got Orion chipset (oh yea!)
it got 4.3" display (my god!)
it got USB to GO (goo!)
it got 8 MP camera, and 1080p @ 30 fps (Wow)
it got 2 MP Secondary camera (wooo)
it got "what else you expecting" (yeah!)
Well it aint a phone i guess.
come on go for comparison, no phone got all the above features in ONE phone.
:) Samsung should now sit back and relax for some time as they have already launched a phone with all new technology and features.

the 320mb internal memory is very small, you will experience the low phone memory after sometime, although apps can be moved to sd card, widget apps need to be install in the internal memory to function properly... processor is identical to desire hd, so it should be very fast... but for year 2011, better go for dual core smartphones such as galaxy s2,lg optimus 2x & motorola atrix...

Are you dreaming... moreSymbian is not as bad as u think. I've used symbian for about 6 years now. Symbian is good with the non-touch screen phone. No phone on earth could beat symbian on non touch phone. However for touch screen phone, symbian UI and games is a bit ugly and slow unlike iOS and Android.
I really want Nokia to release non touch phone with symbian OS. It is still the best and nokia should not trash symbian. they should use it on non touch phone. Not all users like touch screen phone.
P.S: my SEX1 keyboard has problem since the first month i bought it, since then i always have negative feeling about SE hardware.

I'll try my best to enlighten you all and turn you guys into fanboys of the Grand Daddy of them all, the greatest phone maker of all, Nokia. S^3 is the best out there wimpy. It has more stamina than you or any Android out there and with PR 2 about to come out, 2011 will surely be the year of Nokia. PR2 will bring a new UI for S^3 devices and that new UI will be the envy of all and you my geeky friend will be drooling at the goodness of S^3.

It takes better pictures, last for 2 days per charge, got USB OTG and it comes in a variety of colors. Best of all, it runs on S^3, the latest and greatest version of Symbian. It's more user friendly than Android 2.3! So hurry up and grab one. It's selling out so fast you may have to wait for weeks to get one.
