Both r not outdated screens, only Atrix screen is outdated. See the gsmarena comparison between reality, super amoled, super LCD & clear lcd screens.
Reality screen of Arc is comparable to super amoled when viewed from top. But Atrix screen doesn't stand anywhere.
2.3 can even be run by a 600mhz processor and 256 mb ram. Android doesn't put any limitations for upgrading. So there is no benefit of processor & ram in upgrades.
No one buys a smartphone for talking. Arc's standby time is twice than Atrix proving that it can stand much longer than Atrix when used in other purposes.
1930 mAh is nothing bcoz Atrix has a power hungry dual core processor.
Arc's thickness is 8.7 mm. It's 10 mm only on the top. Got it ??
China doesn't have anything to do with build quality. iPhone is also made in china & chinese phones r also made in china. What do u have to say abt it ?
Will 1080p playback matter bcoz Atrix screen resolution is not even half of 1080p.
No need to buy memory card bcoz SE is already giving 8gb card in Arc.
Fingerprint reader with almost zero usability.
No carrier in actuality offers above 3mbps speed.
What abt those hefty amount of money u have to say for docks ??
I can buy one more Xperia Arc in that much money.
Arc will be available worldwide on 1st april. Got it ?

My opinion on optimus 3D - u should buy it over Xperia Arc if u can afford it but I don't think it's going to be any cheaper than galaxy s2. Optimus 2x is already on preorder and costs much more than Arc & optimus 3D is one step ahead of 2x. So it's definitely going to be costly.

320MB internal storage means no hope for exciting updates(official or not) beyond Honeycomb.

I'm giving a comparison between Sony Ericcson Xperia Arc and Motorola Atrix....These are ALL facts and can be checked at “gsmarena’s” specifications.... Nothing here is my opinion.
Arc has a great 8mpx camera with more options. (Exmor R sensor is just a name, as there is no CCD lens, just a plastic lens, NO wide angle lens, No large camera sensor) Motorola Atrix only has a decent 5mpx camera. (Nokia N8 is the BEST camera phone)
Arc has a 0.2 inch larger display. Atrix has higher screen Resolution. Both have outdated LCD screens. (Sony's Mobile Bravia Engine is just a name, a sales gimmick, nothing else)
Different Android customizations, although both are fully upgradable. Motorola is more upgradable due to faster CPU, higher ROM and more RAM
Arc talk time is 7 hours, Atrix talk time is up to 9 hours.
Arc battery is 1,500 mAh, Atrix battery is 1,930 mAh.
Arc is slimmer at 10.0mm as compared to Atrix 10.1mm..
Arc is 125 mm long. Atrix is 117.8 mm long.
Arc is is a beautiful designed phone. This is its main selling point.
Both phones are excellent plastic build quality. Both are made in China.
Motorola Atrix has Dual-core 1GHz CPU. Arc has 1GHz single processor CPU. (Dual core is only used when needed, thus not affecting battery life)
1080p, full HD video playback is possible in Atrix. Not available in Arc.
Atrix has 1GB RAM. Arc only has 512 mb RAM.
Atrix has 16GB storage. Arc only has 320mb. (Need to buy a memory card for Arc)
Atrix has a secondary Camera. Arc has NO secondary camera.
Atrix has a finger print reader, Gorilla glass display, Digital Compass. Arc has nothing.
Atrix has HSDPA, 14.4 Mbps. Arc only has HSDPA, 7.2 Mbp.
Motorola Atrix has several add on options such as a docking stand etc.....
Motorola Atrix is available now to buy. Arc will be available in 1 – 4 months.

And I know that mediascape has been replaced. I mentioned 'mediapane' in my comment which is new name for all those media widgets.

But the superamoled display if the G2 I don't think is going to be matched by enything else at this moment.There is no perfect phone......but I think G2 comes closest to perfection.....Enyway,I hope you'l be happy with your choice....I know I'l be with Galaxy2.....!!!

Yes,the Galaxy will cost around 600€ in the stores,but since I have some friends in the mobile phones business I hope I'm going to get for around 250-300€, since I payed 250€ for the first Galaxy.....
