But as u r wishing abt it so much desperately, so I thought 'let's support what he says' & btw... there is no harm in getting bigger internal memory :-P

But still, once you take away the memory card slot, consumers will come to you to complain. See the E7, people are comparing it with N8 - why no card slot while N8 has it?! Only in iPhone we can't complain for anything. :P
So SE chose the more compromising approaching - put decent phone memory and packaging big memory card within. If you think that's not enough, then buy memory.

If SE will announce a great Walkman smart phone with b... moreEvery time SE put HUGE internal memory into their phone, they suddenly forget to install memory card slot into. s700, w550, w900 ("huge" at their respective eras), w950, w960, w980 - 4 and 8 gb internal storage, but that's it, no chance to expand the capacity! So what would you expect from a phone with BIG internal memory if it is a Sony Ericsson...

The greenheart label can also be a reason for the less price of neo. I have seen this kind of trend in SE feature phones. Greenheart phones of SE cost much less than other category phones & still provide more or same features & functionality.

But we will pay for what we would get - the accessories in the box that come along with the phone, that would make the difference. SE is also giving GreenHeart label to neo and pro, and since you hv noticed of what kind of accessories that come along a greenheart phone - mainly the "superb" greenheart headsets, and also the use of recycled plastic materials on neo and pro's bodies, you should've known from where they cut 4,000 - 5,000 Rs of neo's price.

It means that we will have to pay $80 for the same technology in Arc. I guess SE is asking $80 more for the 8.7 mm waistline of Arc.
And u will be suprised to know that X10 is selling at the same price as Xperia neo in india.

[deleted post]Thanks. :) $600... I'm wondering if SE will sell the phone in my place at this price, a staff told me it would be released here at the same price of X10's initial price - around $720. As comparison an LG insider has leaked the price of Optimus 2x when start selling (somewhere around this month) at $710. If somewhere out there I found arc and 2x have slightly the same in price tag, I guess I have to pay this phone at the price I've mentioned. :(

SE walkman smartphones have been the top notch technology pieces in their time... remember W950 and W960 ???
This is the 1st time SE will be releasing a walkman smartphone after such a long period of desertness, so they will probably make this launch big & remarkable. Otherwise a mid range phone would easily get lost in today's revolutionary smartphone World.
After all walkman phones have the biggest contribution in SE sales.
btw... if this comes true then my long wished dreams will be fulfilled. I have always wanted a top notch android based walkman phone from SE.

You posted an interesting stuff here. I think that the new Walkman phone will NOT be a high-end device as the W995 was. It will be probably a mid-range phone, such as the Zylo. It will have a bigger screen, at least 3 inch touchscreen(in my opinion). It could have Dolby sound as well, and a better camera.
