I think that Samsung could overtake Nokia. By the way you mentioned the Nokia N9. The phone will be announced, and there are 2, or 3 version of the N9. There is a 32 GB version(expendable with a 32 GB Micro SD card), and a 64 GB which is not expandable as I know. It has 1 GB Ram as the people say, it has 8 MP camera, 1.2 GHZ CPU if I am right.

I don't get it when someone wishes nokia's death, i may not buy a phone from them at this moment but i'm hoping that in the near future they will release a ground breaking device. The more company participating in the competition, the faster technology will evolve. So i don't have any grudge to any phone manufacturer, release a product that will appeal to me and i'll buy it.
Not everybody wants android btw. I mean, yeah it's ok to have android, but some people don't usually buy a phone because it's android or symbian or meego. Most people buy a phone based on the specs and looks. I mean, come on, who would buy an android phone with 50mhz processor, 50mb RAM, 50mb mass memory, a 50 dpi monochrome display capable of playing videos upto 50kbps? It happens that all high end gadgets these days run android as their Operating System, so where else will people go? Some people who buy the latest gadgets are not even aware what an OS is. So all the perceived wanting-on-android thing might only be true to android fans. Like you.
Xperia arc, however, happens to run android. And android is not bad considering the number of apps made/ported for it, so i guess android might be my next mobile OS. Actually, i like android, but i'm not the one who will ignore a high end phone because its OS' name isn't android. But if the OS is real crap, yeah, i might consider buying a phone based on operating system, on rarest occasions since i do believe that there hasn't any crap OS yet when it comes to mobile phone. (how about IOS? Well, not really, too restrictive for my taste but apple's designs never fails to stir me. Will i ever want iphone 5? Maybe)
Still hoping for n9 at MWC.

Nokia was supposed to start selling MeeGo devices in 2010 but they failed. Why? Because Nokia's MeeGo is still NOT ready. They most likely delayed its launch beacause it sucks. Nokia is going down and they knew it.

To those who are saying that the SE Arc will not do
good, I say you guys are making a mistake. For as long as Tegra2 is still expensive, the Arc will sell. I see the Arc as the best bang for your buck among the current crop of Android flagships.
@mobilemaster: Samsung can smell the blood of Nokia and this will be an important year for Sammy. If Samsung grows even more this year and Nokia's CEO S. Elop proves to be a Microsoft trojan horse then we may have a new leader in 2012. I don't know why but I have a feeling that Nokia will join the WP7 camp. Maybe it's because their CEO is Microsoft's former head of Business Division.

Hahaha! You think you can win a tech race? Doooh!! This phone is powerful enough and has a few other plus points...simples! Read the review, the current OS is not optimised for dual core tegra and it wont be for some time. I am sure long before I reap the benefit of any future proofed phone, I will be bored and moved on! Find the phone that does everything and does it well that means SE for me.

Nokia is in deep recesion.Symbian OS can't offer anything new.Android is the future.

Yet the high-end smartphone market is becoming more and more overcrowded with each passing day. It’s where most prestige is earned and understandably every company wants to play a key role there.
You have the LG Optimus 2X that puts the dual-core Nvidia Tegra to the table and the Motorola Atrix that will even add 1GB of RAM. The Apple Phone 4 is always in the thereabouts when high-end smartphones are discussed and we are waiting for Samsung to bring in the Galaxy S successor next month at the MWC. That could either be a global version of the AT&T-bound Infuse 4G or (fingers crossed!) something even better. Not to mention the Google Nexus S, which is certain to get speedy Android updates.
So, hot and camera capable as it might be, the Sony Ericsson XPERIA Arc will have a hard time in the market. It will have to pull off an equally impressive performance when we meet again for a full review in a few months if it’s to stay in the fight for the top spot

Galaxy S2 will be much much better than any Nokia phones . Today everyone like to have phone with ANDROID OS , as i saw in video on youtube MEEGO is very bad looking , btw MEEGO even dont have live wallpapers lol lol ...
I like Samsung but not Nokia . i always find SONY products with better quality except Cameras , SONY make great Cameras but NIKON and CANON little better :)
