I want to see this phone with Android 2.3 very soon. It is disappointing that SE is always late. Now I would want to see that they are fast. By the way I am NOT a Se fan anymore, but I would like the X12 to be an awesome phone. :)

this is gingerbread and not eclair and the chipset is msm 8655 / 8255 not snapdragon which means it is more power efficient

this phone will rape if it actually launches with android 2.3 gingerbread. i used to love SE products but soo far they've been failing with the xperia line, specifically the X1 which ive owned for about a year now. x10 took almost a year to get upgraded to 2.1?!!? SE revenue's and profits are up now, so lets see if they can produce a powerhouse smartphone. we're waiting for a game changer SE

Mobilemaster, 11 Nov 2010I KNOW that it is NOT announced yet. Believe me I am not a ... moreDid you remember when Rachael aka was leaked? It ran under android 1.6 and people expected it would be launched using android eclair 2.0/2.1. What happened then, you already know. Now the leaked Anzu is spotted using android 2.1 and we are expecting it will be released using 2.3. Have you seen any android 2.3 out there already, a smartphone runs with android stock v2.3? While SE will be still customising their android phones with their own signature - Timescape/Mediascape - that certainly will need more time to polish and finishing to be working properly with gingerbread (like you see how long they worked for eclair). NO chance SE will be the first to release android 2.3! Not for january.
Oh! But don't be too sad. Another rumour is that Anzu may be will not be the next Xperia family, it may be will be released under BRAVIA line-up, the brand that you only see in japan (oh, you may sad again)

Anonymous, 11 Nov 2010Release on january? This even hasn't been announced yet.I KNOW that it is NOT announced yet. Believe me I am not a fool person. I just said what the rumors say! I don't said that what I know is 100% right. We will see what will happen, but as I know SE will release their phones much quickly NOW. :) The last month the phone could be available in February. If they will NOT release the phone until February, the phone will be KILLED by HTC and Motorola. They NEED to release the phone on January. On January the phone will NOT have so many competitors, but after February...
I also read somewhere that there will be an Android Vivaz and Vivaz Pro successor. By the way SE will announce a 16.2 MP camera phone NEXT year!!

A good news for future Sony Ericsson phones.
Sony Corporation on 20 August ,2010 revealed on Sony Global website that sony has succeeded in developing hybrid wires for mobile phones which will allow high speed data transmission & signal transmission (upto 946 kbps) along with power transmission through a single wire.
In current technology mobile phones have separate wires for transferring diff. things.
But with this new technology(which sony has especially created for mobiles) they aim to make mobile phones extremely slim ,bendable ,flexible & much more durable.
SONY also said that phones now a days use approximately 22 wires but with this new tech phones will use only 1 wire.
So it's obvious that SE will be the 1st mobile company to get this tech & will kick the ass of every other company.

As the rumors say, the X12 has a full QWERTY keypad too. This will have a BIG success, SE is back on the game with this phone. If they will release it on January, they will gain big profit. Even without a QWERTY SE will beat Samsung, and even Motorola if the specs are real.

At least SE has to announce something for global market before the end of the year.
