ustu, 28 Sep 2011no problem bro.....no prob at all.....just missed u guys ar... moreAhem! Ahem! I am here buddy. I am reading all comments once or twice in a week. Lucky that you are able to play 1.4GB 720p files without any problem. I even tried 500MB 720p files, it plays but with AV sync issues. But the default Final Fantasy video that comes with the phone is 270MB, it plays very well. Maybe because of the difference in the codec. I even feel that it is dependent on the file playback duration. If it is a 7 minute 270 MB video, it plays well but if it is 14 minute video with same file size(270MB) I have trouble in playing it. To make things simpler, nowadays I just use the DVDRip files with normal resolution but on the Arc screen and BRAVIA Engine, I feet it is as good as 720p.

No secondary/video camera, Outdated LCD screen (Bravia engine means nothing, just words), no Bluetooth 3, no FM Transmitter, no music equalizer, no wide angle camera lens, only 1500mah battery, overpriced, very small internal memory, 2009/10 old CPU, limited 3G frequencies, no gorilla glass screen, no free GPS maps, only USB v2.0, etc etc
Sorry, but again SE has failed.

Ive had my arc for about 3 weeks. Its a beautiful phone and I think it does live up to "Best looking smart phone of 2011". SE has done a great job with android and with their own timescape interface. SE is a great company even though a few people might have some negative things to say. SE is here to stay!! The arc is the best smartphone Ive ever had! Even though it only has a 1Ghz processor, it does all that I need it for! Will recommend SE anytime!!

PS - I can guarantee you that if you drop your Samsung Galaxy S II in water it will die a painful death!

The present failure of Sony Ericsson shows in its uninspiring devices which are based on third-party operating systems? (Android) Other brands are investing heavily in their own OS and also investing heavily in new technology.

But Sony Ericsson has shown itself to be just a copy cat in all aspects. Sitting back, watching and copying others brands .

With Android, Sony Ericsson is reduced to being nothing more than a me-too vendor that will be eaten alive eventually. This decision is really about SE focusing on a single platform as they're not capable of supporting any more platforms, a dramatic sign of how the once mighty have fallen.

It's a shame they've had to make this decision. It would be great to see other vendors support and offer Symbian devices alongside Nokia, but if that doesn't happen then Nokia are more than capable of going it alone, or with just the Japanese vendors.

SE doesn’t have the resources to support multiple platforms, particularly any platform that requires a modicum of intellectual investment as is the case with Symbian.

I'm giving a comparison between Sony Ericcson Xperia Arc and Motorola Atrix....These are ALL facts and can be checked at “gsmarena’s” specifications.... Nothing here is my opinion. All is factual.

Arc has a great 8mp camera with more options. (Exmor R sensor is a minor tech improvement, but there is no CCD lens, just a plastic lens, NO wide angle lens, No large camera sensor) Motorola Atrix only has a decent 5mp camera. (Nokia N8 is the BEST camera/video phone)

Arc has a 0.2 inch larger display. Atrix has higher screen Resolution. Both have outdated LCD screens. Although the Arc has LED Backlighting, which is better. (Nothing compares to a Super Amoled screens by Samsung)

Different Android customizations, although both are fully upgradable. Motorola is more upgradable due to faster CPU, higher ROM and more RAM

Arc talk time is 7 hours, Atrix talk time is up to 9 hours. Atrix , in theory will have longer time for internet, movies, GPS, music , general usage etc.
Arc battery is 1,500 mAh, Atrix battery is 1,930 mAh.

Arc is slimmer at 10.0mm as compared to Atrix 10.1mm..
Arc is 125 mm long. Atrix is 117.8 mm long.

Arc is is a beautiful designed phone. This is its main selling point.
Both phones are excellent plastic build quality. Both made by Foxconn in China.

Motorola Atrix has Dual-core 1GHz CPU. Arc has 1GHz single processor CPU. (Dual core is only used when needed, thus not really affecting battery life)
1080p, full HD video playback is possible with Atrix via a HDMI cable to TV. Full HD is not available in Arc.

Atrix has 1GB RAM. Arc only has 512 mb RAM.

Atrix has 16GB storage. Arc only has 320mb. (Need to buy a memory card for Arc)

Atrix has a secondary Camera. Arc has NO secondary camera.

Atrix has a finger print reader. Arc doesn’t.

Atrix has HSDPA, 14.4 Mbps. Arc only has HSDPA, 7.2 Mbp.

Motorola Atrix has several add on options such as a docking stand etc....

All this info is not biased and can be checked at gsmarena’s specifications.

i think the blutooth is sooo weak in this phone! why didn't they put the 3.0 on this phone!and the HSPDA bandwidth is soo slow for this phone when we have 14MB and 21MB on sensation and galaxy s2!!!it's not even 10MB!!! 5.7 is really terrible for this model!!

muehe, 28 Sep 2011Hi ALL. I would like to ask you what program or converter I... morerock player lite, mobo player,mx video player, arc media player etc,all of'em r free.for transferring them, connect the set in media storage mode.i don't think that u should convert any video, cause with these players,u can play almost all formats.& one last thing,i've tested up to 1.4 gb 720p file that run smoothly, but 2.25 gb sized file failed to response.& i guess 1080p won't run at all, though i havn't checked it.

AnonD-23512, 27 Sep 2011If i root my arc than what happen... is it risky??rooting ur cell is not risky at all.but if u r into warranty thing, then don't unlock ur bootloader, this will violate ur warranty.rooting with locked bootloader won't violate the warranty.& by rooting,u can install custom rom, overclock ur cpu, have the functionality of usb on the go etc.....
