"After you install applications from the android market, you will have the option to transfer them to the SD memory card via Application manager inside android settings"
Yes its true but try to move the office app, for example, OfficeSuite and tell us whether you have succeeded. Is just one example, and believe me there are many Games/Apps only works in internal memory. Widgets at all do not work in external memory (SD).

Its a v-e-r-y beautiful phone, the design, touch, camera (both photo and recordings) its perfectly fit for the price. If you want to buy a phone with elegance and perfection i really recommended this phone. ;)

Very poor. The design ofthe phone looks decent but very plastic when u hold it. So many spaces wasted thats why it looks so big. Htcs lcd is better. The performance of this phone is good though for a single core.

i have used arc for 6 months but after that sell it..
Reason:-The polish of the acr tearing and my silver arc phone is becoming black from all the corners of the phone..I'm very caring for my gadgets but this thing made me very disappointed as i spend Rs 28000 for this phone...Very poor material sony have used for this phone..the silver color will start tearing from corners of the body after a regular use of 3 months...(no idea about other colour of this phone)
Positive poin:--Camera is excellent no doubt and video recording is superb...
u will love ur arc or arc S if the polish of the phone is not an issue for u...

As I can see on this site the majority of the comments are being posted by people with very poor knowledge of what's going on in the mobile phone industry. You cannot ask somebody WHAT MOBILE PHONE IS SUITABLE FOR YOU!!! It's outrageous.
Before you buy it, go and compare it with S II side by side. Check the colors, especially the white color (in SII it's blue more than white), feeling in hand, quality of plastics, looks, performance (SII is the best at the moment), accessories, price, camera, etc. Decide for yourselves not the be sorry afterwards.
I bought this cell phone from Vodafone Romania and the bootloader cannot be unlocked for free: "Bootloader unlock allowed: No". Ask before you buy it if the bootloader can be unlocked or not. You need this if you want to put on it custom ROMs. More details on Sony Ericsson site.
Don't get me wrong, Arc S is a wonderful device, camera is good (it satisfies my needs), screen is beautiful, design is sleek (everyone who sees it loves it), internal memory is enough if you don't install all the shit on the market and forget that you have it. It was on almost the same price with S II but the screen and design made me choose this one. I don't need dual core and all the powerpack that S II offers (I would not sacrifice the beauty for the muscle). Be wise and think if you are more than an average user to buy the right one for you.
