SOLUTION FOR AUTO BRIGHTNESS ISSUES IN XPERIA 2011 series
1)root your phone
2)go to market and download "Disable Auto Brightness Xperia"
3)run the application,your problem will be solved
Note: rooting voids your warranty
(For GB users not ICS)

Auto brightness issue persist mostly in Xperia mini only in ics official version(ported) I Dnt face any sensor issues in that version(brightness controller was there but auto brightness option was not available) ,I can't confirm this without trying non ported version hope you wont face brightness issues in final version,currently I flashed to cynogen I have to reflash to ics to check again

The QSD prefix then became a remnant of the original marketing strategy behind Snapdragon. Hence there's nothing wrong if MSM8xxx or MSM7xxx chipsets are written as QSD8xxx or QSD7xxx because they belong to Qualcomm Snapdragon SoCs family. More important to identify is the model numbers that following the prefix to recognise the architecture technology or the chipset's generation.

I bought my Xperia mini on March 14.2012 @ amazon for 210.00 and I like most of its features. You are able to download adobe 11 for flash videos from websites in the market. It is a great phone for students because there are document apps adjustable to your 3inch screen to type in landscape or portrait mode. One of the best features I use often are the camera for Scan to PDF and boy, it dose a awsome job with formating photos of a document to PDF. The video feature is of good quality in comparison to many other phones. The call quality is standard.
The only cons I would report are, no front camera for video call but, you can access the back camera and the battery life. If you download a task killer it helps with battery usage along with turning off features you dont use or adjustment to the back light.
Over all my ratings a 4 star.

something is wrote wrong here "qsd8255".
the qsd82255 doesn't existed according to qualcomm site I mean cpu from 1ghz and with 205 adreno all are msm type.

Mini can handle even 32gb class 6 memory card.if you're going for 16gb class 10is recommended
Go For Atleast Class 6 or Above If Ur Looking For Performance
