I am not sure... moreThat is not Android Ice Cream 4.0 update..., if your phone received notification that 4.0.2.A.058 or .042 update is available, it is the Build Number for Gingerbread 2.3.4.
The issues (mostly regarding capacitive touch and heating issues) are not related to the android os, it's said it could be solved by asking SE center to calibrate the capacitive software. There's no issue after OS updating. However you will missed the crt tv like screen animation when you turn it off.

it asks me to upgrade to android version 4.0
I am not sure because of some issues mentioned here recently.

Hi al,
Sony ericsson Xperia mini rocks in screen clearity, good in look.. It gets hanged with keypad while call comes.. Battery charge wil get reduced if v use anderoid apps continusly.. Overall its too good phone to purchase in this cost..

xperia mini is one of the best phone at the reasonable price.
fast processor-1ghz.
gud camera with hd recording.
ram is also fine.
bravia engine led screen.
value for money phone.
best deal of sony.

this phone sucks. it overheat after 30mins of usage & this causes d phone to flick(acting like the back botten is depress). i've replace mine but d problem is same for d new one too. gushh

i am confuse which one phone is suitable for me. i have range from 8000-12000 only. i read many comment regarding xperia mini, no one clear this phone is good or not but when i was reading the specification of this phone, i thought that this phone is better then other, so please tell me the right way because i want to complete use of my monny.
