Beautiful but smaller screen (blacks are gorgeous)
Much faster processor (the 8255 is nearly 2x faster than the useless 7227)
Much better graphics
More unique and better deisgn
Ace-
Bigger display (but not nearly as good as the mini)
Thinner body.
The xperia mini is a small phone- you wont feel the thickness after a while. Also, Mini will get an update to Android 4.0. The Ace will probably stay on 2.3.3.
I'd suggest the xperia mini. Or, if you want a bigger screen, try the Neo V (if you can stretch your budget).

1) 1 hour of doodle jump-no heating.
2) 1 hour of google maps with browser in the background-back cover got a little warm.
3) 1.5 hours of constant surfing, maps, gaming, everything I could think of- the back cover got kinda hot, and the front capacitive buttons got even hotter, but that problem still did not occur.
I do not know what you guys do to achieve that effect, but I have never faced that problem in my phone. Before you jump to the conclusion that I am a liar, type 5800 into the search bar of this comment page, and scroll down to find my review of this phone posted on 7th september. I have been happily using this phone for 2 months with no heating problems.

the display and audio clarity of phone is amazing...
smooth operation on touch..
first i thought its too small, but then i just fell in love with it...

Don't buy this phone it has back button and menu problem and SE don't have explanation or remedy for this mulfunction, DON'T BUY THIS PHONE buy walkman live or any other but not this phone.

android 4.0 is not available for this phone yet. latest version is 2.3.4 . the 4.0 which u r seeing is built no.

Kick ass phone for it's price.
For all you guys, upgrade to the latest version available via the sony application. Connect the phone to the system, run the sony app and upgrade. Everything works just fine. I had an issue with battery backup but after the upgrade the battery back up is quite good to say the least.
If anyone knows the compatibility with Android Ice Cream, let us know.
