I love this phone had it about 11 months no problem then for whatever reason the screen went funny , had it sent away came back with new better software and screen fine , unfortunate camera not working so away again to be replaced by another , finally I thought however now i'm having problems doing anything so now getting htc wildfire instead , so brill phone when working , seams hard to fix

i have this phone and i have all the issues and i hate it! i heard that all the new batch of this phone are bug free and thats good becuse this phone could have been the best phone on its price range.. im still waiting for my phone to be fixed and i cant wait to have it back..

If SE already noticed their fault about the heating problem and vibration or whatever defects does the mini have...well i guess they should calibrate the software first and fix before giving it to a buyer since we all know that it has a solution already...??? Now im really confused if im going to buy it or just go with another brand of phone...

well i am very happy for you that you phone is working very well and Sony has truly created a mini monster but most of them are defective ...

I have been using this phone for the past 2 months, and I believe that this is the best phone I have ever bought. It looks amazing, and it performs even better. Name a single phone with this chipset running on it under the 15K bracket- the only competitors to this phone are the xperia mini pro, or the Xperia Neo V. This phone is fast as hell, runs like butter, feels solid, and the screen is as good as AMOLEDs and clear blacks. I have seen this side by side with a C6-01, and the blacks are almost matching those of the clear black display. In fact, the colours are overly saturated on the C6-01. Even videos appear better on the mini. The bravia engine alone should justify the price you pay. This phone blows all the competition out of the water.
About the battery, I have personally checked this-without using this phone at all, the battery lasts for about 5 days. This is just as good as any other phone that I have encountered. If you do use net, gaming, music, etc, then the battery lasts about 16-18 hours-and this is there in all android phones. Seriously, the only people who had heating problems, bought the september batch of phones. I bought the August batch. Also, their problems were rectified. My phone only heated up once, after about an hour of gaming, with music and net in the background. This is quite acceptable.
This phone will continue to blow its competition out of the water, because what SE is giving at this price, other companies are charging almost double (Galaxy Plus, Desire S). Plus, its an android-you won't feel how helpful that is unless you start using it. Everything is available.
This phone is everything anyone can want-If you're cribbing about the small screen, know that any other screen will feel bad in this price. To get a screen as good as this, you will need an amoled. Trust me, go for it-nothing to hate about this phone-not at 12K.

i replaced 2 phones the both same issue.others excellent

Answers:
1.factory reset doesn't change the firmware version.
2.SE told that all the latest xperias will get the ICS .
3.bravia engine only enhance the photos and the videos.
4.X loud will enhance the audio in the loud speaker only & doesn't affect the head set.
5.yes 2.3.4 is available in India since 2 Weeks.
6.for touch problems give it to SE care.it's just a software issue.
7.it doesn't come with the scratch gaurd.

For all those who are experiencing any heating issues,back button automatic activation or vibration issues take ur phone to the nearest SE service center. I had all the above mentioned issues which started within a month of using it. The service center guys did some software update and now my phone has been working just fine. The heating i guess is natural (happens within 20-30 minutes of continuous usage). Other than that this phone is amazing....camera quality simply superb.......compare its 5 MP camera and display with samsung galaxy ace(same price range) and ull see d difference.......this thing is truly a MINI MONSTER. Worth d money guys...... GO 4 IT !!!!!

I am a sony ericsson fanatic, i started with K750 and has bought several SE phones. I bought the xperia mini last month ang i have no issues with this phone, this is the best SE phone i ever had! Thanks
