But SE themselves have confirmed that all the 2011 xperia range including these two phones will get ICS update. Hardware wise they have enough juice to operate ICS. So it won't be a problem I think. Have to wait till SE actually releases the update.

The problem here is most retailers confuse this mini(st15i) to the x10 mini and say that it's production is stopped. Actually production of the x10 mini is stopped in few regions and it's taken over by the current mini(st15i). Im actually planning to buy this phone or the xperia mini pro, but after I got to know few problems that have surfaced with these devices, I'm a little held back. Hopefully it gets resolved soon.

SE wouldn't be stupid enough to ... mores may b the reason y sony dropped the update of ics for xperia mini and pro in 2011 lineup even xperia active gets the ics update which has same specification may b v shud get custom roms further k but this is a good phone have no reason to drop other than the vibrating problem......

SE won't stop production of a phone which they released in august 2011, in september 2011. The mini is an awesome phone, with no problems whatsoever. Those who actually had a problem (shivatink is just one of the very few people who actually faced it), will get it replaced by the service center. If anyone is worried about where to buy it from, try The Mobile Store, I've never had a problem from any phone I bought from them.

yest i got the phone back from service center now its running k tester for 2 days lets c later what happens but the guy in service center said the production of xperia mini is stopped and sony gona continue with mini pro but he said good mobile dono y sony stopped may be most ppl buying pro for some specific reasons anyway if this works good without vibrating problem then its good for its price.....

What's the music playback quality like on this device? I read a review that said it was a bit lacking on the bass?
I'm just interested in using headphones or plugging it in to the car for in-car tunes.

Anonymous, 23 Sep 2011Correction: it's "ambient light sensor" - not pro... moreI'm sorry. I meant the ambient light sensor. The proximity sensor is not involved in the flickering. And it is really very very minor. Most people can't even notice it. Its only there because automatic brightness adjustment is on by default with no option to switch it off. SE will probably fix this in a future software update.

Guys Got this phone yesterday great display ,gr8 cam,android HD games works !! No flickering of screen,no sensor problem , no mic problem ,everything is perfect it is the great phone in this price range !!! anyone gonna buy i surely recommend this is the phone for ya ! ;)

Nice phone as is sony itself,, gonna purchase it....BTW is there document viewer in D fone or is it dwnlodable 4m Android market?
