i use my xperia mini st15i almost a year, its awesome! nice phone , i juzt want to request to the sony to make another mini phone just like xperia mini , im not a fan of oversize screen phone, im comfortable in 3'0" to 3'7" inches ,so i can handle it with just 1 hand,my request to sony is design a mini phone just like xperia mini but have an awesome specification ,
3'5" , 8mp camera, more internal memory ,front face camera , super loudspeaker ,waterproof , and more slim with the same design of the body , just upgrade it and it will become the small but incredible awesome smartphone ever!!!! hope my request will be granted ,tnx sony . .

My xperia mini speaker has problem. Sometimes it stops functioning and after a day or two it works again. But since last week until today its doesn't work at all. Now I decided to have it fix at sony service center.

Xperia mini can install WhatsApp, it works well. For viber I don't know. Instagram available to be downloaded to Xperia mini at Play Store.

In my opinion, good. For the touch response automatically can be solved by rooting the smartphone and install Gscript Lite (download at Play Store). I experienced touch error too on my Xperia mini, so I rooted and installed Gscript Lite.
Now my Xperia mini is running on ICS 4.0.4 (4.1.B.0.587), works fine although there are some lags compared Gingerbread 2.3.4. For internet use, I usually charge it again after more than 4 hours. Sometimes reach 5 hours. For music I'm not sure because I seldom listening music.
Yes, it's outdated, but the price is affordable compared to Xperia sola (US$260). If price doesn't bother you, go for like Xperia go, Xperia sola, or Xperia neo L.

Rikki, 15 Feb 2013Wanna buy this phone,but I have heard a lot of problem such... moreI would NOT strongly recommend this phone to anybody because the specs are somewhat outdated. For example, it suffers from low internal memory (less than 400MB user available) especially if you use many applications. Android apps are constantly updated which make the internal memory lower and lower. Why don't have a look at the xperia 'go' or 'sola' or some other new phones? In both these, you get 4-5 GB internal memory and both have dual core processor, ics runs better on dual cores.
I suggest you make your decision based on the design of this phone; that is if you love to have a 'mini' smart phone. Looking from that aspect I say this is (or was) a masterpiece by SE. It is an excellent performer, has the bravia engine and much more. But everything becomes old and outdated.
The overheating issue is present in some batches of phones, the touch buttons starts misbehaving as the phone gets heated; but definitely there is a fix for this at sony service. And about the battery life, it is bad. For a heavy user, the battery will not last till the end of the day. 4-5 hrs of music is ok, but if you do 3hrs internet, the battery will be an issue. But you can use a spare battery and an external charger to solve this.

Wanna buy this phone,but I have heard a lot of problem such(over heat,battery life,automatic response without touching) Just tell me that it will good for me cause I just wanna listen 4-5 hour music and 2-3 hour on internet DAILY.I will owe you-

It's fast, but when we have many application that need running on the background, it will lag several. And in my opinion, Gingerbread running in Xperia mini is faser that Ice Cream Sandwich.

the thing is dat all users who face overheating and other problem on the xperia mini r dose dat updated to ics,y nt remain on gingerbread n enjoy a problem free xperia.the fone is gr8
