1. Android doesn't support gsm based video calling(except for some Samsung phones like GalaxyS/SII/W etc which do have their own native video call feature). Shame on android!

2. You can do video call using gtalk or third party apps like Skype or fringe but it is different from the operator-provided 3g video call, as you may know. In the former, you both parties need android phone(or at least some smart phone), both need one of these apps installed, both needs to be online with say, Skype, both need a data plan and both will be charged for data usage!! But the latter is simple and direct, no data connection required, operator will charge for video call and only for outgoing call, and if you decide to video call, only you need to suffer, usually there is no incoming call charges. Above all, you can make video call to anyone in 3g network with any video call phone, need not be a smart phone.

3. XPERIA MINI has NO front facing camera, so forget about video CHAT, you may be able to share what your phone's rear camera sees using Skype or fringe (needs to be confirmed)

In short, if video call does matter for you, then you have two options;
either leave android and get some Nokia(symbian, bada etc)
Or find a suitable Samsung android phone like GalaxyW (Thanks Samsung, at least you have a solution for those who want android and video call at the same time)

Are u sure u installed cwm recovery. u will find intaller in playstore by searching x-parts.

Thank you for your reply. I had installed Battery Calibration for more than 3 weeks ago and calibrated it. Today, my Xperia mini battery life works fine, can on till under 5%. It just sometimes 15% will switch off. While for recovery is rather difficult for non PC haver.

After rooted and install Gscript, my Xperia mini comes back to normal. But, recently the battery life is bad, not the life is fast empty, but when the battery life reach for example 16%, 17%, or 18%, I use it a little, there was notification that tell me battery remains 1% or less, after that, it switch off. Overall is very good.

Small but beast phone! Fast, handy, upgradeable to ics, lots of apps, batt is great (but it also depends on the user how to use their phones). I love this phone!

The Battery is a pain. I have to charge it twice a day to keep it going.

ant, 21 Nov 2012does anybody know if we will get a jelly bean update?Never an official update. They will provide updates until 18 months over to polishing ICS. JB can run 2011 xperias because as google said every device compatible with ics can run JB.
But however any 2011xperia holder should sig n this, So we can force them

I think we won't get it. It had been said by Sony, for Xperia 2011 the last update will become Android 4.0.4 only.
