yes,u can change themes in this phone,but its two short commings are-
1.low battery backup
2.camera takes yellowish snaps....

AnonD-13788, 03 Mar 2012doea anyone know what the infinity setting is for in video mode?I think the infinite focus mode is used to disable continuous auto focus function, so when the lens is aimed to a nearest object, it wont be automatically focusing at that object. In otherwords infinite mode works like fixed focus.

Sound quality generally is good, but never expecting more from the supplied handsets (i forgot what model that came along with my set, never take it out from the box, it's a greenheart series as far as I remember). So to make myself more satisfy with the audio I use PowerAMP music player and using sennheiser earphones with good bass enhancement. So far so good.
7) macro mode on sonyericsson cameras usually did the job, although on this handset I sometimes feel the picture quality is below my prev 5Mp SE feature phones. But to my surprise the continuous auto focus is really awesome. Took a shot at a newspaper in video recording, watched it on tv, it was really fun reading newspaper on tv! Outstanding focus quality and clarity.
Under the hood, mini pro and Live Walkman are same, but the preinstalled apps maybe different with each others.

2) voice recording is preinstalled, but this one is used for voice command only, need 3rd party voice app as sound recorder. No stopwatch and timer apps out of the box - at least on my device.
3) how can you judge the quality of the sound only by its loudness, doesn't make sense..
4) battery life sucks, it is android phone, you must understand about it. It's android's trademark: battery sucks
5) yes, the preloaded officesuite app can open .txt, .doc, xls, .pdf files (read only)
6) multitasking is one of the best! You can easily switch between 8 apps that currently running by long pressing the home button
7) are you asking about macro mode on the camera or about visibility when reading text on its screen..?

im going to buy this phone very soon,so can someone please answer me the following:
1) how to change a theme? :D
i went on xperia x8 of my best friend and i couldnt find an option to change it... :S its running 2.3.5 so i consider its the same on this one :)
2) are there available apps for voice recording, stopwatch&timer considering that Xperia doesnt have it
3)what is quality of the sound? is it enough load to hear ringtone in the noise? :)
4)how long the battery does it last with maximal and average usage?
5) does it read .txt and MS Office files from the PC?
6)what's about multitasking, you know, for example, to go on internet,minimize it and go somewhere else then back to internet browser, like on Symbian fons? :)
7) is it good for capturing the text,are words enough visible?

my choice was HTC wildfire S and this one, but due to great comments about Xperia i decided to take it :D

Anonymous, 02 Mar 2012is there any other way?Well if no one includuding yourself has messed aboutwith the settings then i dont have many more ideas. I know samsung have service centre addresses on their web page, and maybe if you go to the sony web page you could find the nearest sony service centre. Samsung tend to do stuff free. My network 3 even sent my phone off and got it updated for free. If you do try resets, then also download a "back up apps" app from market to also back up apps, and make sure pics media are moved 2 sd card via a file manager
