Mine is a little shacky from the top part of the device when the slide is closed and when I press on the screen from the right bottom side I feel that there is a little space between the part of the screen and the part of the keypad.. It is not the thing that u can really notice it easy but it is driving me crazy.. so help me to find out if that is a normal thing or should I visit the service center for this issue??

Using 3rd party video app as I mentioned in my previous post could run hq video files, certain codecs may be not working properly, but the software dev I believe continuously updating their software to improve its capability to support more file formats or codecs.
2. I've only tried to play youtube files (it worked fine on 3G broadband ), so I have no idea whether it works with non .flv files on line.

Plz help !!!
I am using this phone for last 4 months. Evrything is fine but the left soft key does not work for 2 or 3 times everyday. If I am reading messages then for coming back 2 home screen when I press left soft key, it takes 6 or 8 seconds to come to home screen n till then left soft key stops functioning. After 10 sec it starts working.
Plz tell me if my set is having problem or it its system needs to be updated ??? Plz reply. Plz plz plz

Have you tried any 3rd pa... moreTry MX video player or MoboPlayer. If you encounter some prob while running the movies, there's decoder settings to choose between S/W or H/W acceleration.
Your friend is correct, after certain time a slider phone will require some parts replacement. But it is the flex wire instead the rubber belt that need to be replaced, normally after 2 years of proper usage. Rubber belt gets damaged, I believe it because user not really care the way he pushed the slide part out. Each phone has its own slider construction type, try to find out the best way to keep it last longer. Btw I still using my slider phone SE Hazel since June 2010, no problem at all with its slider, posting this from my Hazel. Oh, and my mini pro also still fine with me after nearly 5 months of usage. No problemo.

Have you tried any 3rd pa... morewe had the same fears. but when I bought it, I'm surprised its slider is tougher than I thought.the slider's mechanical part has a spring. it might get worn out but I think Sony has learned and modified many of the designs. if you know this is an improved version of x10 mini pro. x10 mini pro.served as an example since many end users complained about x10 mini pro. the only significant problem I've found was the electrostatic whatever sound recorded during taking vid. it is true. but not that bad as what people exaggerate.

Have you tried any 3rd party application to run .AVI file. If not, can you please do it for me. I already have 30 movies on my memory card. So i just want to check whether these movies will run or not.
I've one more question. My friend said, these slider phones starts giving problem after certain time. The slider belt gets damaged after certain period of time. He told me not to buy slider phones. Anyone have such kind of experience?

[deleted post]the keypad is nice especially when you're used to wide qwerty keypads. they said it's tactile but for me it's a little bit stiff and each key produces real tic tic sound when you press. another thing is the top row of keys is a bit too close to the bottom of the screen but it's fine with me. the home button is really stiff that when the screen is slid upward, I have to support the screen under when pressing it to switch between apps.
you said you are from Nokia e5, I am sure that you will not just be satisfied with this device. you will love it! I love mine!
real battery drainer though..
android market has DivX player.

Out of the box it is true that it can't run several type of media file formats (one reason is because SE traditionally doesn't give support to certain format, another reason is because Google drops support of certain formats also). But using 3rd party applications may solve this problem.
Regarding the physical keyboard, I don't think this phone is dedicated for heavy texters like "the blackberrians" , yes it does have a slide qwerty keyboard, but it's not really comfortable using it every time you wanna type your messages, it's still more practical typing on the touchscreen, really. Maybe only when you're on a bus running on a bumpy road you'll find that the keyboard is useful.

i love this phone the camera is extraordinary i just love it all about it it makes me happy and i was worry cause the screen isn't big but actually its very good and enough to see clear i love my phone
