Jessica, 26 Oct 2011HOPE U GUYS CAN HELP ME.. Does mini pro support proxy se... morenop unfortunately it doesn't , i have the same exact issue in my uni too , but there is a solution , all you have to do is root your android version then download a proxy app and it will work just fine :)

i have the phone for about a now months and i lovee it
pros:
1- its size is awesome for a smart phone.
2- bravia engine is great.
3- fast processor.
4- keyboard is really comfy.
5- HD camera is cool.
cons:
1- no zoom in video mood, which is very weird 0o but i think apps can fix that.
2- comes with only 2GB card
3- as in most smart phones battery barely lasts for the day if u've used many apps or games.
overall the phone experience along with free android market is pretty awesome i highly recommend it :)

I read many comment saying the battery backup is low...
To be frank, it is same in the case of all android phones...
This phone is really really awesome!!!
Just one concern...It is damn difficult to open the lid of the charger point :P

Does mini pro support proxy server when using wifi??
coz at my university it used proxy server n my current phone,xperia x8 can't connected with the wifi .its makes me so frustrated n want to change my current phone.and for now i really attracted to mini pro.

I've had this mobile for almost a month now and I would like to clear a few things. I did post an earlier review but since there are still so many doubts, i will base my review based on issues rather than the conventional parameters.
1. Audio:
Electrostatic noise? What noise? Unless the awesome music coming out of my mobile is defined as noise by humans, there is no perceived noise! xLoud, honestly, does a great job of giving an almost surround kind of an effect. Really, I have no clue why this issue is being discussed. Either the problem has been solved and the recent batches of the handsets do not have the problem or the problem is restricted to the Xperia Mini.
Battery:
The screen estate is not as big as an Arc or an S2. So the 1200mAh does a decent job. I don't use this phone for heavy talking. have a nokia for that. But roughly spend about 30 mins everyday with the Mini Pro. Otherwise, my 2G n/w is forever on. I keep tweeting or at least checking my timeline every 15 mins. Listen to music for roughly 1-1.5 hours, play Chess, paper planes and Drag race that account for about an hour across the day. And then of course, heavy texting, browsing the news, stocks, etc, etc. With the above usage parameters, I manage to get about 12-14 hours on an average which is very decent! With a bit more talking, I guess it would come down to 10-12.
Performance:
The heating happens only if you play heavy games for prolonged periods. Otherwise, I have about 20 apps installed in addition to the ones pre-installed and the phone still functions as if there's nothing inside. the 1GHz processor is more than enough to satiate anything you want to do with your mobile.
Aesthetics :
The phone, I admit, is a bit bulky. Sometimes, if you are reading something for a long period, you start feeling the weight. That aside, the phone looks good and though the pixel density is not as good as the other Xperias, you just cannot see the difference.
Honestly, the Mini might have several problems but the Mini pro, at least the one I own, is problem free. My only concern is whether Sony will roll out Ice Cream Sandwich for the mini pro.
