here is am important update -
Battery Life under standyby - 20% = 8 hours
Normal use " Camera - ShowOff - Messages - 2-3 Calls." !!
Wifi and Internet are two things which drain battery at high rate also the display.

What is the average battery life considering abt 30 mins calls, few msgs n browsing for abt half hour daily??

Iam presently using sony ericsson G502 phone it is just 2years 2month old. I dropped it more than 30 times from my hands to the ground with my careless. I like to play games, listen music, calls, sms chatting, camera and more i like very much to browse net in this phone and as a modem to my pc with my aricel 98 unlimited plan from past one and half year. Camera is very good, i took photo in travel very nice clarity in system too, i recorded my some parties. mp4 video is good i made it dvd's and watched in tv clarity is nice. still it works great without any problem. Battery life is awsome. So i say its good,fantastic,excellent, awsome phone. So i decided to use this phone along with new xperia mini pro or xperia ray hd phones. Price plays improntant role to buy ray are not.
Note: I won't care about noise problem bcoz sony ericsson have some problem initially like G502 had restating itself problen now its and its awsome. So by seeing such normal problems don't miss awsome phone which give long lasting good experiance from sonyericsson. Love you sony ericsson.

Best in Audio, Video, Andriod,Touch Smoothness in everything.. its could have been termed as the best device of the year.. if Sony would have worked more on its battery life.. its not so that its battery life is a "BAD" one but the problem is that, having a device which such great UI with Bravia engine and many other things it requires more performance in the term of battery life.. and this is where Pro is lacking in... but in all other aspects my phone jus Rocks.. No Comparison.. :)

I was using a BB before this and decided to give the Xperia Mini Pro a try.
First off, although I already own an iPad and iPod Touch4, the UI for the Xperia Mini Pro took some getting used to. It somehow was not as intuitive as I had expected, and the lack of a readily available user manual meant quite a bit of trial and error at the start-up for a technodunce like myself.
I am now finding it easier to use. The typing on the slide-out keyboard is very comfortable as opposed to a BB, for example. The sound quality from the loudspeakers are good while the screen quality is fantastic.
However, the battery life is really very poor. A couple of calls, about 30 minutes of a local game (not played online) and texting dropped my battery life down to the critical 15% just 12 hours after disconnecting from the power outlet. I am hoping this will improve, otherwise I will have no choice but to change back to my BB.

I can confirm that the static noise is apparently less almost non existant when I charge my Xperia Mini Pro. I assume as stated before that there must be a static noise problem relating to the battery?

The only problem I have is some static noise when recording video which you can hear depending if it's loud or not. Call quality and other features seem to be flawless.

finally here in my country, at about $271. Worthed n expendable. Very love it,performance r great but a little bit chubby n looks big in d pocket. Very nice one from se, mini but maxi. Thanks se, im loving it.

but does it changes its screen frm portrait to landscape and vice versa in when we are in home screen without opening the keypad cz this is the problem i m facing..plz help its really irritating me..
