gail, 09 Jun 2012is ICS for this phone available here in the philippines? pl... morehello gail! yes, update is already available in the Philippines. We had the same situation. My phone said that my phone is up to date. but when i connected my phone to PC Companion, with my computer connected to the internet, the PCC prompted that an update is available (my SI number is still not on sony's list but update is available already).
i suggest you use Sony Ericsson Update Service (SEUS) instead of PC Companion for updating as many (like me) reported that using PCC for updating the device gives some kind of error. SEUS is available for free and around 38MB in size. update time is around 30 to 40 minutes depending on your internet connection, so please be patient if you do not want bricking your device. Your PC should have an independent internet connection and not only tethered on your phone. In the case of SEUS, your phone has to be turned off the whole duration of the update.

best phone..i am using it for past 5 month. having nearly 250 apps installed from GB itself now updated to ICS with that same apps.. in GB itself it works very fast now in ics awesome.reason i kept still 320 mb free in internel.with help of rooting.first root the xperia mini pro.than it work very smart......BEST PHONE...........................................NO NO HEATING ISSUES.BEST BATTERY BACKUP.MANY SAYS BATTERY IS WORST.SIMPLE TO SAY THEY DIDNT KNOW HOW TO USE THE PHONE...

i have upgraded my XMP to ics. i have one query. how to activate the face unlock feature in XMP? i checked setting- security- screen lock. it doesn't have face unlock option! please help!!!

xperia mini pro, 08 Jun 2012So when will the update come to SI 1249-0751 ??? update is already avaliable for SI 1249-0751. mine xmp SI number is also same. i got my phone update 2 days ago. even though ur SI number is not listed in ICS update list, just check through pc companion once. u may get the update. likewise my SI number was not listed there but i got the update.

updated xmp to ics 2 days ago. here is the review
Pros:
Good Battery life. can last a full day with avg usage.
Amazing graphics. Cooler than Gingerbread
UI as smooth as Gingerbread.
No heavy lag. lag is noticed very rarely.
Does not eat up huge ram. just 30 to 40 mb more than Gingerbread. u will have atleast 120 to 150 mb ram free.
New xperia gallery is cool.
Face unlocking feature is simply superb.
Browser is fast and easy to use.
Improvement in GPS Navigation.
Choosing widgets is superb. a new cool graphics in scrolling.
Camera interface is very nice in photo as well as HD video.
Thanks to Xloud enhancement. The sound has increased as compared to Gingerbread.
And there is very much improvement in wifi signal and phone signal.
Ear piece sound clarity is very nice. Loud and good
Cons:
Camera focus is poor in 5mp resolution. in 3mp resolution its very good.
Auto rotate feature is little bit slow. in rotating video to landscape and portrait its very slow as compared to Gingerbread.
Lock screen animation is still not there as it was in Gingerbread.
Opening applications are bit slow.
Sometimes it took more than 3 seconds to open message menu for me.
Overall its all new experience. I still did not found my phone freezing or restarting. UI is zippy as new. Boot up screen has changed to Sony and Xperia from Sony Ericsson.
ICS on XMP rating = 8/10

honestly when i update my xperia mini pro to ics much better more improvement so i should say this is small but terrible!!!!
first better quality when i use skype for video calling
second good cam back and from using ym
third good improvement in wifi and pone signal
fourth fast and smooth scrolling
this pone really rules small but terrible
compare to my lg optimus 2X i prepare to use this small pone
just aone question what kind of apps available for the clock in the android market???
keep up the good work sony and dont buy lg you will just waste your euro!!!!!!

Hey guys I've jz upgraded my Xperia mini pro to ICS and here are my reviews, its buggy and not very smooth yet, the downsides are when u're listening a song andit skips a track. Camera not clear at all when snapping landscape images. Games aren't fully operational, im playing plants vs zombies and suddenly the whole game just keeps restarting, and as for temple run, I could get it to start. I suggest not to upgrade to ICS yet until Sony promises fix for all thos bugs. The good stuffs are great battery life, its amazing dis phone can go on for a day fully charged! XLoud enhancement really made a great big leap. UI is as smooth as GB's, multitasking works really fine for a processor this speed. Cheers,

Phone gets warm is normal during heavy usage like gaming or internet browsing, but never made the phone overheated and turns the phone gone mad.
