I've upgraded my cell 2 ics.... Bt due to its slow operation I've decided 2 degrade 2 gb..... So pls can any1 tell hw 2 degrade n if jelly bean s released 2 my cell can I upgrade it 2 jb after degrading....

i agree that ICS update for most of the 2011 Xperia phones is just a joke. Sony didn't try hard to fix lag in UI. I've gone back to silky smooth gingerbread and am happy for the moment. however, jelly bean update is going to come for neo v as well because it's just 10 months old phone in the market. Sony confirmed it officially that some of the Xperia phones are considered for JB update but the time frame is still unknown

Though ICS brought a fresh coat of paint, the UI is not as smooth as it was on GB. Homescreen transition shows lags when swiping through a widget filled homescreen. The dialer went totally pathetic and would take a healthy 5-6 secs to open, but Play store came to the rescue in the form of an app called ExDialer to wipe out the glitch.
Call quality was awesome and i haven't experienced any dropped calls so far. Adreno 205 though quite old now manages to support HD games in decent way. Amazing Alex HD is a treat to play in Neo V.
Battery easily lasts for 30-32 hrs and my usage pattern is 30mins call, 80-100 texts, Wi-fi browsing/ downloads for 5 hrs, Songs 1.5hrs and tweaking all the apps continuously( i luv this portion the lot). But never ever browse or download using ur operators data connection, coz its eats battery in an insane manner. Mine went to less than 10% from 63% in 90 mins. But using wi-fi the battery consumption was limited. I downloaded StarDom- The A list game from play store using wi-fi, the size of the game is 383mb and it took 35 mins to download and the battery down to 72% from 79%. This shows that how efficient Neo V is under Wi-fi.
Internal Memory was a cause of worry in my Gingerbread days, but ICS somewhat made it better, yes the Free internal memory is now 420mb up from 320mb. The timescape gallery is a great eye candy but in the functional front it is ages behind other third party apps like Quick pic and Smart Gallery, it force crashes when swiping through HQ wallpapers and folders. The stock ICS Gallery is quite decent though.
Camera is pretty decent with many things borrowed from Sony's digicam department. Sweep panorama shot is great atleast on paper and you must be extremely cautious in taking a successful sweep panorama shot. Coz being a Sony Digicam user i feel the panorama shots in Neo V are highly vulnerable to slightest shakes and a steady action must be maintained. But cant complain about the detail a 5mp sensor can offer. Flash is quite effective than in most other phones in this price range.
It looks and feels like a new device every time and with its curved edges it is very comfortable to hold and one handed typing is a delight in its qwerty, though it takes some time to get through.
Loudspeaker is decent and the audio through the supplied headphones is almost great. I've always used it with my Sennheiser and oh god, its a new world of music blasting away everything i heard so far. Say it deep bass or heavy metal Neo V shines like a Star of its own.
I'm satisfied with what i got for the budget and I will definitely recommend this phone over Ray or U.

samay, 29 Jul 2012can i have the drawback of this mobile coz m going to buy t... moreno drawback!! but if u r a hardcore gamer than u will need dual-core n better gpu. sola has 2x better hardware n net is class 32 so its a better phone but price is also higher. so if u r a normal user than neo v is very good n it has bigger battery than sola that lasts longer.

Sandhya, it looks like your charger has got a problem. your mobile is perfectly alright if you are able to charge it through usb when connected to pc. try your friends charger, then let me know. otherwise buy a new charger.
